Hi all, I joined this forum in 2011 anticipating surgery, but my employer's insurance would not approve, but then I came down with leukemia and that totally shot it out of the Water. But I am back and hope it will be happening before the end of the year, with Medicare since I had to stop working. I am looking for anyone who has been sleeved or going to be for support and encouragement. I hope some will pick this group to communicate with others.

Hi Kingcake, may I ask why you want to revise from the sleeve

Glad to hear from you mynewlife. Tomorrow is going to be a challenge for all of us but I know we will do well. Like you, a good time to focus on family. Happy Thanksgiving to all !!

I just think that your book and past blogs are very inspirational and anyone can benefit from them. I know tha t I have especially after reading your book, fabulous !! Glad to hear you are doing well. Sure would like to hear from some of our past friends. I know that some will hit a year this month. Hard to believe that it has been that long.

One of our members, Queen of Crop, has a blog at Queenofcrop.com. She wrote about her experience with the sleeve on Sundays for one year. Excellent reading !!! She lives in Amsterdam and recently published a year in my life following weight loss surgery) I think that is the name. Or look for it under author, Zoe Belle. I have read the book and is very inspirational !!

@@sbg224, welcome to the group. Sounds like you are on the right track. I have been on a plateau for about 6 weeks, but trying to bust through. I have lost 69 lbs and am 4 months out, so it is slow. But, that is fine with me.

@@LisaGB, that is great Lisa, thanks for posting. Sure wish some of our old friends would let us know how they are doing. Miss seeing everyone. I was in June and am down 70 lbs. Did you hit a plateau yet? I have and it has been going on for about 6 weeks now.

@@katladee I had mine done laproscopically with 5 incisions. Each was about 1/2 to 1" long and one was a little over an inch as that is where they pull the stomach through. I think they all do it this way, at least I hope so.

@@laura4923, good luck Laura, you will do great !! Keep us posted

@@Durlinda I had my surgery on June 15th. It was a breeze. No pain after second day. I also am 60 but was not worried due to my age. Very glad that I had this done. Welcome to the group !

Sure would like to hear from some of our members of this group, who are out a few weeks or month to hear how they are doing.

@@sleevenv I am hungry all the time and I don't understand why. I thought that this would kill the appetite, at least curb it. Hang in there and try drinking more. Seems to help me some. Anyone else have thoughts ?

@@joannct1t Welcome to the group and congrats on your weight loss. I had mine on June 15th and am down 26 lbs, 44 from my highest weight. Thanks for the info on the protein drink you use. This is a good group, a lot have had their surgery and everyone, as far as I know, are doing well. Please watch for Queen of Crop. She just had a book published that tells about her life a year following surgery. It is also in a blog and you should fine it by looking under her user name.

@@angela80463 Someone posted their pre-op diet here and I incorporated as much as I could with my regular food. Had to follow strictly for 10 days prior and lost 12 lbs. Protein drinks, at least 65 grams per day, broth, pudding, fudgsicles, sugar free of course, Jello, sf drinks I cut back on my regular food and that helped and did some of the above instead. I drink Premier Protein, chocolate and strawberries and cream. Both are better frozen to the slushy stage.
