Nightgown Or Housedress?
welittle1 replied to Jswilbur's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't had my surgery yet but I have had two hernia surgeries and a hysterectomy. The first hernia surgery I just had one incision about an inch long under my belly button. Then had the hysterectomy with two small incisions on the left side of my tummy and one on the right side. And the last hernia surgery I had two incisions on each side of my tummy. I was wondering if the scar tissue from all of these would cause any problems with my sleeve surgery. -
I hope not either!! I've learned that you take the stairs one step at a time not all at once...lol
-
This reminded me of when I had my hysterectomy in Oct. of 2007 and we had only three more days until we could have sex again and I fell down a flight of stairs and broke 10 ribs and it was another 3 1/2 months before we were able to do it. My husband said that most women just complain of a headache but his wife had to throw herself down the stairs....he was kidding of course...but it was funny...Sorry just had to share.

I agree missmeow....I'm on weight watchers and have lost 3.2 lbs so far...not much but that's 3 lbs gone. Going to stick that way it less I will have to loose later and it will make my surgery a little easier I think. Good luck to you as well!

Thank you all...I don't think I would be able to travel out of state because I couldn't take that kind of time off work and just the expense from the surgery is going to be all I can handle, let alone travel expenses as well. But you never know....things happen for a reason and it will be my day soon.

Thanks everyone for the concern and suggestions...I'm not giving up on this..it's my life we are talking about. I will have to look up that post from futureskinnypants.

Thank you both. I'm not giving up but it will take me awhile to figure out what I can do. I was just so ready to get going on this...just one more hurdle I guess.

The support on this site is just unbelievable. I look forward to visiting her often. What are both of your stories if you don't mind me asking? Thanks again.

I am going to my information seminar on March 10th and I have a list of general questions that I want to ask. I was wondering if anyone would post some questions they asked or questions that they wished they had asked. I'm just trying to cover as much as I can. Looking forward to starting my jouney. Thanks in advance for the help.

Pre-Op Liquid Diet...
welittle1 replied to tasherie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Any works of encouragement always help. I also have the dreaded loose tummy pouch from previous weight lose and have had my doctor tell me that no amount of exercise will make it go away. But like you said, I will deal with that when the time comes. The important thing is that we are doing something to better our lives and health and that is the main thing right now. Please keep us posted on your progress and I will as well. I look forward to getting to know you and about your journey. I think we could be very supportive to each other as well as everyone else here. -
Pre-Op Liquid Diet...
welittle1 replied to tasherie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you Beautiful for the supportive words. I go to my information meeting next Saturday. I wish I could rush things along and get the process moving. The one thing that scares me is the loose skin that I will have after because I have about 150 lbs to loose. But I know I will be healthier and be able to do things that I haven't been able to do in a long time. I will deal with the loose skin when I get to that bridge. I guess it's just one steady step at a time. I'm just very anxious to start loosing and get off some of my meds and get rid of my cpap machine. Have you had your surgery already and if so what kind of experience have you had with it?
