Tammy, I also am having my surgery at St. Francis through tallgrass...Dr. Hamilton. I just had my phsyc appt last week, now just waiting for the surgeons office to call me so I can schedule.

Sounds to me like you are dong wonderful!! Keep up the good work. I had my psych evaluation yesterday and it went well. Now I just have to wait for the surgeon to call to schedule mine. Can't wait to be where you are now. Keep us posted! -

BentleyJade, I hope your bcbs will cover your surgery, I have bcbs of kansas and they won't cover any type of wls so I'm self pay. Good luck to you! -

Ah the red tape! I'm sure everything will be fine, keep your head up. I go for my psych eval tomorrow, a bit nervous but will be glad to get it over with then I can schedule my surgery. Let us know what happens please. -

I've used nail polish remover before and it worked great, just be careful not to get it on your incisions. May I ask why you were in the hospital for 6 day? Hope you are healing well. Congrats on your sleeve! -

When I broke my ribs, I had to sleep on our recliner couch for 3 months so I know this won't be that bad. -

I've been drinking the pure protein chocolate shakes from walmart. They are 23 grams of proteian and 1.5 grams of fat and only 1 gram of sugar and they don't taste bad at all. -

MY insurance doesn't cover it either so I'm self pay. I got a loan from my bank and am going to make monthly payments. Anything is worth getting healthier! -

Thanks everyone, I do feel better now, you are all such good support. Netgallegos, I"m a bad one also, I take 2000mg of metformin a day and I take the fast/slow acting insulin at 50 units in the am and 40 in the pm. So glad you don't have to take anything anymore, hope I will be able to say the same. All of you are not only good support for the mind but also for the soul. Thanks again everyone! -

I'm sure the surgeon will tell me about this so don't know why I'm so worried about it but thought I would ask here to see if anyone had any problems with this..here goes....I have type 2 diabetes and I'm am worried about my sugar going to low during my pre op diet and then during my post op liquid stage...what do you do when you can't eat anything on the pre op and when you can't drink more then an ounce every 15 minutes post op? -
