    I also have 8 cc's in a 14 cc band and not a heck of a lot of restriction. Just know it's normal!!!! Keep it up!

    ValAnn- I too have few work clothes- I have lots of jeans and t-shirts, but not work appropriate in smaller size. I will have to comb some goodwills to find things!!!! Or take ChrissyLu with me shopping, LOL ChrissyLu- you'll bust through the yo-yo- just keep up the good work, your body will give up the fat eventually!! Meredith- I will have to go to LB too, have a credit card- and use whatever coupons I can't go to work naked (it's not THAT kind of job!)

    Food! What's With All The Food!

    I agree, B-52- why spend time talking or thinking about something that made me so fat for so long?!? B-52, let's talk about our awesome workouts or how I just fit into a size smaller work pants or how much more energy I have now that I'm 45 lbs lighter. I actually am not at your point yet- not quite to restriction- and am doing this a lot by willpower, but absolutely know the day is coming when I am not hungry for several hours. Right now, I just ignore it. I know what I am eating because I planned it out and have it in my lunch box. When the time comes, I just eat it. When I think about all the time and money spent on crappy food eating out for lunch!!! I was just thinking yesterday about how when I would have a few hours alone in the house without kids or DH how I would think about what I would eat while they were gone...it makes me so sad to think about how I used to be, but then I am glad I'm not that way now, nor am I interested in going back to that. Yesterday I realized that now if I have time alone in the house I get up on my elliptical, or I have energy to tackle a house project or two!! Sorry for the ramble..........eating is just not the most important thing to me anymore.

How are you all doing? Post!! I need inspiration and friends to go through this journey with!! I know we get busy, but do post when you can. I miss you! Didn't workout last night, it will be a rest day, went to dinner with the fam right after work- had a great small salad with chicken at the Whole Foods. Super yummy. It was just too late to work out when I got home, but today will be a good sweaty one! Everyone, have a great day!!

    Hi Meredith- yes, you can- just go into my fitness pal on your phone, and by the search for food box where you'd normally type in the name of the food there's a little bar code icon that you can push. Then just hold it up to the bar code and it will beep when it's read it and then it will search. I love this feature!!

    NJ2NC- awesome!! Close to Onederland!!!! ChrissyLu- you are totally a shopping guru!! Congrats on a smaller size than you even expected! I have on really big pants today, LOL. Unfortunately, though I have lots of sizes in my closet, I don't have lots of work clothes- my old job I could wear jeans and t-shirts- this job I have to wear dressier clothes. I hope the Goodwills here have stuff!!!

    I know what you mean, Nicole- I just pretend it didn't subtract out the calories I burned, so I look at the total calories eaten still, not the calories after working out. I'm down 1.5 lbs this week. Okay, was hoping for more- but isn't that silly? 1-2 lbs is a good steady loss, and I have been losing that and more for 3+ months! So I am NOT disappointed!! I am happy! I have lost almost 50 lbs!! What is your next reward? Mine is a pedicure when I lose 50 pounds. I have 4.5 pounds more to go til my reward. How are you rewarding yourself???

    Meredith- Sounds like it's time for a BIDIA workout- but I did it anyway! I read someone's tagline on a signature once that said something like, "I swear your inspiration is 6 minutes into your next workout!" You can do it, it will be a great workout!

    Should I Get My First Fill On Thursday?

    It's a personal choice, but the indicators are if you are eating quite a bit, and if you're hungry again in 2-3 hours, you probably do need a fill. I know that I am looking to get filled to restriction as quickly as possible, while still being safe, so I can take full advantage of the band and what it can do for me. I've had 3 fills so far of 1 cc each, and still not in my sweet spot. Remember, they can always back some out if it's too much.

    Eating Too Fast

    THis is my biggie now too- I have "trained" myself to not drink with meals. I have been thinking bout this for me- and I think first I will count to myself when I chew- maybe 20 chews? And while chewing put my fork/utensils down, then wait a mo then start again. I have always been a really really fast eater, it runs in the family- you should see my dad!! One of the learning curves we face, I guess.

    Amica and Meredith- my doc said to eat slowly but take no more than 30 minutes to eat- so even if you could eat more you don't because your 30 minutes is up.

    Amica-,my doc says that I should eat slowly and chew thoroughly, but to STOP at no more than 30 minutes, even if there's food left. So just because you can eat more you still shouldn't. The green zone can take some tweaking I think. Just try not to push it, imho. Just finished an awesome zumba class!!,lots of sweating! I'm claiming 550 calories, though I think It's probably more. Everyone have a great Saturday.

    I love unjury, order at unjury.com. chocolate splendor with skim milk and ice, or vanilla with trop 50 Orange juice with ice and sometimes I add in 3-4 strawberries. I love this brand!!! You can order the sample pack, 2 envelopes of chocolate splendor, 2 vanilla, 2 strawberry, 2 chicken broth and 2 unflavored to try.

    I was 284 when I did zumba at first, now 241- just back the once (will go tomorrow). It is so much fun, and don't worry about coordination- just try, and do your own thing to the music if you get lost or confused .

    Oh, do try zumba, it is so much fun! I also do the elliptical- my nutritionist said that maybe on 2 days to do only 30 min elliptical and 10 minutes light weight to shake up the metabolism. Erica- hang in there! You will get past it. Good goal, stretch goals are good! Oh my heck you guys, I ate a TON last night. Not a ton in relation to what I used to eat, but we went to Chilis, I chose off the light menu- margarita chicken, black beans and broccoli instead of the rice. We did a 2 for $20, so DH ordered a ginormous thing of chips and salsa, and I ate a bunch! I did log it all, still for the day just a smidge over 1200, but way more calories than I've eaten in a looong time. And, since we ate out I didn't have time to work out. Oh well, yesterday was my rest day, LOL. But I was surprised I ~could~ eat that much, if you know what I mean? It was from the light menu, so it wasn't gigantic portions but definitely more than 3 oz chicken. I didn't eat all the beans- but obviously not a heck of a lot of restriction going on for me. I did feel it a little at one point where I knew I was eating too fast and it felt funny going down, but not "stuck" by any stretch. Meredith- I wanted to know about your fitbit- is it just a glorified pedometer? If I wear it all day, then do Zumba, will I be able to tell the calories from just the zumba vs. the rest of the day? I have a really really sedentary job, so just a pedometer would be not really motivating, LOL. How do you use it, how do you like it?
  25. DonnaMP- I take a 5000 mcg biotin tablet every day (2x a day) and it's the size of a tictac- It's the Spring Valley brand from WalMart- hopefully that wouldn't make you get stuck?
