Never thought this day would come!

    We need some pictures.
  2. I had an emotional breakdown yesterday dealing with my surgeon’s office and insurance company. They are not communicating well and it’s postponing my surgery date.

  3. What I am learning from this experience it not to trust what you are told. The predetermination assistant at my surgeon’s office assured me when I completed all the insurance requirements that I didn’t need anything else, she was going to fax all the documents to the insurance company for approval. I waited a week and called back and she said they hadn’t heard anything, so I called the insurance company and was told they just received the fax and it was missing information and they had called and left a message with the predetermination assistant at my surgeon office. So I call her back and she said she would check her messages to find out what they needed. So she called be back two hours later and told me they needed the last doctor notes from my PCP faxed to the insurance company. I had to rush to the doctor office request the notes in person and have them faxed over. I watched them fax it and called her back and was told they didn’t receive anything. So I drove home and faxed if from my fax machine received a confirmation it was sent and called them this morning and was told they finally got it. Now I am waiting again for my approval from the insurance company. Oh and I was told yesterday that because I haven’t received my approval yet that my surgery is pushed backed from Nov. 9 to Dec 1., is that some bull!@#$.

    Blood Pressure rising awaiting approvals

I am in the same boat, the doctors office said the faxed everything over on Nov 13, but i called BCBSFL and the said they didnt get a fax till Nov 21. So i was pissed, and the pre approval can take 2-4 weeks. I am going crazy and i know my pressure is up. Every time the phone rings i am looking to see if it's from the doctor office with a speedy approval.

Hi i am 36 yr old with a 8 yr daughter, and i have prepared her by talking with her about the process and allowing her to ask questions. She is more scared about me getting shots and needles in my arm lol. She knows i will be in the hosptial for a day and when i come home she has to be careful around me.

    I NEED YOUR ADVICE!!!

Hi my sleeve family I need some advice. I met a wonderful person online about 3 months ago and we have been talking, texting and emailing but we have not met. We have exchanged photos and really have developed a friendship and a budding relationship. We will be meeting for the first time this weekend and I am very excited, but I am not sure if I should tell about my upcoming wls in November. I have shared everything about myself except that. What would you do in my situation? How should I handle this?

    Partners in Crime

My sister and I will be sleeved about a week apart so we are going through this process together. We are very supportive of each other and competitive. Have any other people on this forum had the surgery with a family member or close friend. How did it help or hurt your relationship. Were you competitive with the weight loss? Did having that person motivate you or hinder you?

I just found out yesterday i will be sleeved in November, i am so excited.
  23. I am just counting down the days to my surgery and its two months away. It’s like life has stopped and I am trying to make it day to day until the surgery. It’s miserable I need something else to focus on. Has anyone else felt this way? Its like I am just surviving and my life won’t begin until I am sleeved. Give me some ideas. The wait is driving me insane.

    Missing work??

My surgery is not until November but I will be taking 3 weeks off; to make sure I have my strength back. I have a desk job to but I still have to interact with people 8 hours a day and don’t want to look tired or worn out. If you have the time, take it and allow yourself to heal.
  25. I found out yesterday that my surgery should be around November 9 or 10. I am so excited that it’s coming closer.
