I'm out in Missouri City but there has to be a better way for us all to communicate...this website always loads the oldest post first for me so it is a hassle for me to get to this active conversation. Does anyone know how to set up a separate thread so that it's easier for us to keep up with this conversation? I'm still struggling to get positive support...I have my first appointment with Dr Waggoner this upcoming Thursday and hope to get a fill. I have seen extremely little to no alleviation of my hunger and end up sitting here counting the minutes to my 6th and final meal of the day and even chewing each bite 20-30 times those 4oz go by WAY to fast. Is there a point where any of y'all don't feel hungry??? I don't expect to feel "full" but I did hope to not feel as hungry as I do all day....I feel like I am missing something.

I keep reminding myself that the band is just a tool and I need to stay dedicated to the path but it's hard right now...especially now that all the soreness from the surgery is gone. I don't feel any different than I did before the band was put in but I think I need an adjustment to make the band tighter because I am still hungry after I eat the suggested 4 oz....and I feel hungry all day long causing me to fail at eating right because I have to snack between meals. Or at least I feel as if o have to...

Hey BandedTheresa! Glad to know people are out there How are you doing? If you don't mind me asking how much weight have you loss since you got your band? Was it a slow continuos process or was it a rapid loss for the first month or so then slow down a few months later? Who did your proceedure? My doctor just retired last week and I'm still trying to find another doctor in the area....I didn't know that most doctors won't accept a new paitent who had a band put in by another doctor. I assumed that most ports were placed in the same general area so it wouldn't matter who did the surgery when it came to doing adjustments. But I was wrong...

I just sent you an email and just realized you had emailed me before....I explain why in my email. And agree that a smaller group of friends and one on one chats, emails, and meeips are better than big groups. Anyways check your email for mine so we can chat more...and if anyone else reads this and want to talk or join our chats let me know.

Have you found other websites or blogs that are active? Or have anyone in the local area participating? I have tried many other sites even meetup.com and haven't found anyone yet...I thought there would've more online interaction on this base on the size and large population in the greater Houston area.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier....I just noticed that my computer loads the oldest comments first and so have been thinking that no one had responded or commented here in forever. I would love to have people who are also banded to talk with or meet up with. And to have a place where we motivate each other as well! I had the surgery in 15 July and have not spoke to anyone who has had their procure recently. How have you been doing?

I'm actually in Missouri City and a of right now my doc hasn't even found another doctor who is taking new paitents with my insurance. I have my first adjustment next week and it's also his last day at work....talk about scary. I'm actually more worried about that than the surgery itself because I don't know where I would go if the adjustment isn't perfect and I need help. How long has it been since you had your surgery?

Hi I just got banded on the 15th of July 2011 and am just looking to compare post surgery events and hear how people are doing in the weight loss game. My doctor was Dr Storey but he is retiring in Aug so there really isn't any support group or anything established so I'm stuck searching online....
