I have had 1 fill so far, that was about 6 weeks post op and I have 3 cc in my band. I have been loosing at a steady pace and I dont expect to be needing another fill for a couple of months. But a online Bandster Buddy banded around the same time as me has had 3 fills already. So everyone is quite different Congrats on your weightloss btw!!!

LoLs, I will tell you when my hairloss has stopped!!!! But from what I have read its really only a temporary thing and it will grow back!
-
I am taking flintstones now. I didn't at first but lately my hair is starting to fall out in a alarming rate. So I thought I better take those vitamins!
-
I totally agree with Bobby.. As long as you keep loosing don't sweat it!

Got a fill but still eatting and not losing?
leo replied to GingerRenayd2's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Your doing just fine!!! And normally the amount of food is measured after the chewing.. not before. If your on a plateau the weight is not getting less but surely your measurements are. Congrats on ur weightloss!!!!! -
Isn't it funny how things have changed since being banded?? Instead of worrying about weight gain, we can now worry how we going to deal with all the old clothes, when to start buying new clothes and in Alex case, if the port will start sticking out
-
Hope you will have a smooth surgery and quick recovery!

Congrats!!!!

My port is very small, I am not sure if its flat for not.

An "AHA" Moment! True restriction or is there a problem??
leo replied to mrwindt's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thats restriction your feeling there Mary. I have it on and off, some days I can eat normally and some days nothing goes down at all. Congrats on your weightloss! -
Yup, I donated 3 bags worth of clothes just the other week. I kept them, always telling myself that someday I would have use for them again after I loose weight. And when I finally try them on they are too BIG

Best Wishes Tonia, hope its just a fluke

I had the same revelation Food isn't on my mind anymore.

A Thread To Post All Your Before And After Pics!, Show Everyone Your Progress!!

I am not doing anything special. The band really changed the way I look at food. I used to love to eat Pasta, bread, rice but I haven't or actually I can't eat that after the surgery. I had only 1 fill, a total of 3cc. For some reason the restriction is very tight lately. Its hard to even drink Soup. -

Sorry for not explaining it in more details. On yahoo they have all sort of groups. You can go here to signup http://groups.yahoo.com/ . After you signup for a account, you do a search for groups you want to join. Some bandster groups you could join are : 1) Smartbandsters 2) mexicanbandsters 3) dfwbandsters 4) bandsters-nyc There are a lot of people on those groups , join and post the questions you want to ask and most of the time you will get some informative replies. Hope this helps

Wish ya all a smooth banding Nov Bandsters!!

Do you mean there is a lump by the port incision??? Thats Fluid buildup. Happened to me also and to a lot of people. Try massaging it very gently until its all reabsorbed into the body. Why don't you go ask on the yahoo groups if people have had what you are experiencing.
-
This might be the reason the scale isn't going down. Because you normally gain more muscle mass during excercise. Muscle takes up less space then Fat cells. Your problably have lost inches now instead of pounds. Does your clothes feel looser?? Wish you good luck! I go onto 10+ days plateaus all the time, but eventualy I start loosing again..... But like Chris said, eat a little bit more , it might also jump start your body...

I PB a lot of times, I don't want to, but it happens. Sometimes my restriction is just to big. Especially when it is raining outside. And I guess since I am still relatively new as a bandster I still have to learn how to work with the band....
-
I just started noticing a significant hairloss a couple of days ago. But I did some research and hairloss is a normal side effect of weightloss.
-
not enough restriction, too much food! Very frustrated with myself!

banded 8/05/03 by Dr. Joya 250 Highest 230/213/140 Amberose, your doing just great. from the highest you ever weighed to what you weigh now you have lost about 37 pounds. Thats 37 pounds that are gone forever. Binging once in a while is totally acceptable, I do it all the time. Like you said yourself, its just time for a fill. -
My doctor used a something to numb me, but it was on a cottonball. All i felt was some pressure didn't really hurt. Below are the fill trip report and some pics. Its pretty cool http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6pwwz/id18.html http://www.pbase.com/leo728/09042003_first_fill_in_tijuana

My doctor told me do stay on liquids for 7 days if possible when I got my first fill. I stuck to it for about 4 days lols....
