looking good there girl ! -
I really see a big difference. Keep it up! lols no pun intended der

I also tend to remember the harsh comments more. My mom is the worse.... When I was only 155 lbs , she kept calling me fat... Thats the worse. But I have learned not to care about what others think now. I am doing this for myself, I dont care what others say anymore.

I haven't once looked back! Everyday I wakeup , I feel ivigorated knowing that I am a little bit closer to my goal. The most important things I have gained back by being banded are my health and confidence.

I remember when I first hit 199... the feeling is so good! And whats best is that it can only get better! It feels good to try on new clothes and it actually fits! I can actually wear a size 34 pants now. Its a little tight but I haven't been able to fit a size 34 for ages

I was banded the month before, in July... Its been a great journey for me also. Being banded really has changed my life!
-
hi Jen. Welcome to the board! Feel free to visit my online diary, you can readup on some stuff, maybe that will help you on your journey to be banded  http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6pwwz/

Your doing a great job at moderating Alexandra . I remember you started before you was banded and I think you have really grown into the job. You always give great advice about insurance issues and are courteous towards the other members ... Kudos!

Hi Bambam. dont feel discouraged. At least try getting another fill, sometimes it takes 4 or 5 fills before you start feeling the restriction. The band isn't a miracle cure, its a tool for us to use to loose weight. Wish you all the best!

I totally agree with all that is said here. I also wanted to say that I now don't care anymore what "they" say about my weight.. "they" , being my mom and others that used to say I was fat when I was only 155 lbs. I am doing this for myself and most importantly my health. I really don't care what others think now anymore

Sometimes I wish I could have a switch to turn the band on or off lols.... But that would defeat the purpose of being banded in the first place right ??? Yes having to chew chew chew does take a while to get use too!!
-
I have a website with some diaries and pics.. It should give you a broad view of what it is to be banded, if you want go have a look  http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6pwwz/

Congrats Mary, and yes pictures are long overdue!!!
-
Congrats ! I want to say more, but I'm always late to the party and every one has already said everything that I would have wanted to say
-
Kellie, If soups satisfy you, try drinking those. Maybe after you loose some more pounds you can incorporate more solids back into you routine.
-
If things progress as planned you should be at goal before the end of this year Seanmama!
-
Congrats Bright!

I also found out about the lapband after researching about the bypass on the internet. Since I dont have any insurance at all , because I am self employed, I was trying to find a cheap price for the bypass procedure. But all I got was sticker shock lols.... Then I found a website that was advertising the lapband procedure. I called up and within 2 weeks I was banded (ofcourse I did more research on the matter beforehand) The rest is history...

A blog is just a web log , here is the definition of it : A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in cronological order with the most recent additions featured most prominantly.

I took Aleve, Advil etc and didn't develop any baddies either, like Sue says. The band is subjective...

Blogging is fun.
