    Plateau Buster Ideas

    I am not kidding at all I do it all the time when i am on a plateau. I just eat some junk for 2 days. Its like, hey you lost weight, you deserve to have a reward!! And its a good way to get those happy feelings , which in term will make u stop concentrating on the plateau..... Then I just continue back on the same boring routine... and voila after a couple of days the weightloss starts again.

    A throwback day

    I went thru the questioning phase also, am I eating to much? Should I be eating this? Am I drinking enough Water? On and On... Where is my restriction gone?? How come I can eat a slice of pizza or Why can't I even sip water? Did I make the band slip because I ate that pizza and then Pb'd?? Lols.. But i'm still doing fine and still loosing eventhough it has slowed down a bit lately. after a while the questions stop popping up and everything settled down into a daily ritual. I now just enjoy my food and I eat what I want, ofcourse depending on where I am I will choose certain foods. If I am on a luncheon with people I always go for Soups.. I dont want to risk a pb attack. But if I am home I eat whatever I want.

    Do most of you diet?

    No Dieting here either. I just eat what I can tolerate. Most of the time its not much. So during days that I feel looser I tend to eat more , as much as I can.

    I know what you mean Jennye. I I just enjoy days I can eat more, because sometimes it's hard getting enough down.. Lately I have been snacking a lot on snicker ice cream bars, but I dont feel bad at all There is still plenty of time to loose the remaining 30 or 40 pounds, I am just giving my body the time to adjust to the weightloss....

    Friggin Plateaus

    I don't have any advice but I just wanted to say that I don't mind the plateau's at all. As long as by the end of the month I show a loss I look at other things to make myself happy, looser fitting clothes, tightning up the belt one more notch, looking better on camera... etc etc....
  8. Actually, before banding I just ate ate ate.. whatever was in site. I loved Pasta, rice, potatoes, spaghetti etc. So no way I would able to follow the Adkins diet pre surgery. Now I don't follow any diet regime, but because I pb if I eat pasta, rice or bread. Basically I'm low carb. I'm also low in Proteins because I can't really eat meats either. Thats why I drink lots of Soymilk and eat lots of Tofu But I know thats hard for non-asian to get used too .. because it's kinda bland in taste I tend to snack a lot also, icecream, chips, chocolate hehehe But in moderation.

    How many cc's is in your band now? Maybe you can tell your doctor to be a little bit more aggressive when doing the next fill?
  10. You will be able to eat whatever you want after being banded. You just have to findout what foods you can tolerate without pbing.

    Could be gain pains also, I suggest you take some gas-X, it wouldn't hurt to try right??
  12. I had only one fill and as with you , my restriction fluctuates daily. I dont think will need another fill either. I will try to keep up the weightloss by excersice and eating healthy. But it's still good to know that if that don't work I can always get another fill!

    I second everything you said, I have to start adding some activity soon though. The only thing I really hate is that my hair is really thinning out.
