Weird! I was on Liquids for 2 weeks after surgery. Mushy foods can be pretty much anything that you can blend down. I personally like soup so for my mushy stage I did mostly soup, greek yogurt is good for breakfast, I tried to blend a steak but it just wasn't appealing to me. I did like doing mashed potatos and I would mix chicken soup flavored protein powder in it and cottage cheese with anything mixxed for flavor. Just try to do mostly high protein foods, Good Luck

Ric replied to texas-bandette's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
at first it was 4 days for me I then went back to work for 1 day and stayed home for another couple days and then it was all gone! -
I di about 2 months afterwards. No beer though I normally have vodka water with a sqeeze of lime! Only 2 or 3 because it gets you drunk pretty fast

And I thought I was going to Lose 150 lb in a month LOL

I eat pretty much what ever I want. During that time a month after surgery it was a big learning process on what i could and couldn't eat. I actually went out and had a Ribeye steak but of course could only eat 4 or 5 bites of the meat and a bite or 2 of veggies! Like I said in all a learnig process! Good Luck!

Mine is the same way! It sticks out about half a golf ball, I have been able to feel it since surgery as well as the tube and on the fill port I can feel the target area!

I agree Cottage cheese is a fav I like to mix the Cottage cheese with some green olives, eggs are really good also. Sometimes I like a Refried beans and crackers or tortilla chips but I thin the Beans out with lowfat or nonfat sourcream or Greek Yogurt. I make a 15 bean soup with veggies sometimes and even Posole with Pork, the pork is so cooked down that it is easy to chew and swallow. In the Posole there will be fat so I put the pot in the fridge after cooking it and the next day i take the fat off that hardend on the top. For a snack I love Pistachio nuts in the shell. I personally Love fish, pretty much any fish as well as shellfish I do stray away from canned fish like sardines because they are mostly packed in oil.

Mine used to tape a picture of some poor Cambodian kid or some starving child on the table and tell us these kids would like to eat what you have so clean up the plate! -
Hardest Part About A "diet" For Me.
Ric replied to pandabear's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My Girlfriend and I share a plate it works perfect for both of us. If she wants more I normally give her some of my share as I normally can only eat 4 to 6 ounces of food! -
The needle dosn't hurt maybe a little sting, but the Chalk tastes well like chalk LOL I think the neat thing is actually watching the fuild go down after the barium drink!

What is Bad? Out in town my girl is a sweet nice lady but in the sack that bad girl comes out!

I was told not to worry about calories, carbs and stuff like that because my body will know what it need for fuel. But I often find myself not eating but then not losing weight. I find I lose more by eating. I am not on any diet so to say and can eat most anything, breads seem to be the thing I can't eat but yet a thin crust pizza I can do.
