Finally got a date 04-24-2013
axd0424 replied to erica6137's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
sleeved on 4-24-13 started at 218 down to 158 as of this morning. Feeling great, not one issue. Hair starting to fall out but i have so much it's not an issue. I eat what ever i want in moderation. I drink what ever i want as well. Only issue i have is food just doesnt taste good anymore. I eat it because i have to but i no longer have a favorite food. I do make better choices on eating. I eat tons of salad and do my best to stay away from carbs. I do eat carbs though. Today i had 1/2 sandwich and a few chips for lunch. -
Getting rid of my 16w and 18w. Xxl shirts too. Nice work pants 1 pair of almost new jeans. Tops Couple summer dresses. Shorts. If you are heading into these sizes let me know. I'm happy to give them away

Afraid to tell people I've been sleeved
axd0424 replied to dolores_o's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I didn't hide it from anyone. I took the approach that I'm doing this for me. Most were supportive some are not. The ones that aren't. Screw them. Most are loving the transformation. Was much easier to not have to remember what I told and who I told. I just don't give a rats ass about those who look down on it. Never been happier and people say I glow. -
I pretty much try anything and see what I can handle. I stay away from bread and rice. Last night hubs got a pizza and I just ate the topping. Didn't feel 100% after eating it but it was low carbs and stayed down. I follow low carbs and when it's low carb and low calorie it's a bonus. 32 lbs down since pre surgery diet

I keep seeing this pop up in the threads. What are slider foods?
-
16 days out. Feeling amazing. Protein shakes are a must for energy. I can feel it when I skip. Best decision ever! Oh and eating regular food. Just chewing it to mush. Makes a big difference in energy as well. Loving life again!

I'm so confused about salads being a slider.

You can't drink until the following day when they do an upper GI to check for leaks. They'll give you ice with a mouth swabber but no drinking

Anyone ever get a taco from Taco Bell and just eat the inside? Any idea of carbs etc?
-
Why is a salad called a slider food?
-
Ohhh so stuff we really should it as it adds no value to our weight loss. Thanks for answering!

I didn't eat the shell. Just the inside - beef lettuce and cheese. It was a very small portion and very yummy. I had a bit of mild sauce for dipping. I just don't know if this was oh diet wise. I don't know how to figure out the nutritional value. Appreesh any advise. Thanks

Lookin good!!!! -
I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to put you guys down but as one who has bad zero self control I think I did pretty damn well. Ok I cheated one night and my doctor chose to be sympathetic. I applaud all if you that we're able to get through pre op on liquids only. I really do. You have more self control than I did. I'm 2 weeks post op today and never felt better in my whole life. I'm not saying every one has a free pass to cheat. My only point that I wanted to make (don't think I did a good job though). Was just because a person doesn't make it through the pre op diet with out cheating gives no one the right to tell them "maybe you aren't ready". It's totally different after surgery and your mind is in a different place. Motivation triples and because of the sleeve you are physically limited. Sorry if I came off snarky. I will root for all of our successes and forgive forgive all of our failures. On another note 2 week follow up tmrw. Can't wait to see my weight!!!!!!!
