I had my first surgery in approx 1998 my weight continued to yoyo with many hospitalizations required for constant blockages and immence pain. I put up with the daily vomiting believing it was natural as my surgeon said he could not access my port to remove any fluid. I learnt to cheat & continued to loose weight only to put it all back on again. After 12 years of daily vomiting I consulted a new surgeon from Circle of Care he guaranteed me success if I stuck to the regeme. So I went in again & had the old band removed it was a difficult surgery as the band has slipped & twised around my stomach. Only had an overnight stay in hospital & went home (3.5hr drive) the following morning. That night I was hospitalised again for the pain of due to over doing things when I got home. I have not lost any weight & continue to eat healthy food options but obviously too much of it. I exercise by riding my horse 4 days a week, walking is painful because of my arthritis. In hind site I wish that I had just had the old band removed & not replaced it has been the biggest dissapointment & total waste of money that I had saved up for. I truly regret this surgery - perhaps I should have had the sleeve as I have seen more success stories however I most certainly can not afford to have this done now.
