Hi. Sorry I haven't been on in a while. 32fr refers to the size of the tube they use to size around the stomach when they staple/stitch it back together. Size is far from standard! I've read everything from 32-40. "Normal" seems between 32-36. Really the size difference from a 32 to a 36 in minor. Do a search for bougie sizes there was a nice chart Tiffykins posted that had pencils, ink pens, magic markers for comparison. Good luck and don't get tooo hung up on sizes, with in reason!

Hi Mike, just thought I would tell you that, just like you, my pain totally stopped overnight in the fourth week. What I wanted to ask you about is when you referred to 32fr? I assume that is related to your stomach size but, I wanted to know more about that. I got the impression that size was now standardized because that was one of the problems they had in the past. That being, some people might have only half of their stomach removed or others too much, depending on the doctor. All I know is it was never discussed with me so I have no idea. Is there a website where I can get more info?
Thanks, Texanatheart
