Thinking of Cancelling my Surgery.. HELP!!!
ranoodle replied to imnotfat_momsayimchubby's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery is tomorrow and I only have to be on clear liquids today. I have made changes in my diet but still have eaten up until last night. Good luck!~ -
I agree waiting is the hardest part! I have found this site to be very helpful. If I have a question, usually someone has already asked it and it has been answered. It's a great support tool.

no special pre op diet?
ranoodle replied to indy sleever's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have the same requirements as you. Just clear liquids the day before surgery. I'm going to Dr. Schram at Barix in Ypsilanti, MI. -
Thank you for sharing your details. It does help to hear other experiences before the surgery! I am glad you are doing well!

New here and surgery scheduled for August 15
ranoodle posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello, I have been reading the forums for about a month and finally decided to chime in with my story. I am scheduled for VSG on August 15. I am excited and nervous all in one. I got for my PAT on Monday August 8. I will be happy to get off the diet roller coaster. I'm 36 and have been up and down constantly as long as I can remember. Thank you to all the veterans who have given so much advice. I had first chosen the bypass surgery but after doing more research I switched over to the sleeve. I am very happy with that choice and feel very content with it. I look forward to sharing my journey with everyone. -
Yeah! Glad you made it through okay and are feeling well.

Imagine that, no fear of a scale anymore! That's great. I hope to get over my fear too shortly.... -

Awesome. I did my pre-op yesterday and everything turned out well. The only thing that I am waiting on is for the surgeons office to get my paperwork for work. They need to hurry, I don't want to reschedule. -

If I could be added as well, would be happy. I am 8/15.

I'm in Romulus MI. I am scheduled to be sleeved on 8/15.

I have surgery scheduled for 8/15. I do my pre-op testing tomorrow. I am nervous as well but my excitement is overshadowing the nerves at this point. I went to Lake Michigan this weekend and all I could think about was how much better I would FEEL next year when I'm at the beach! I still had a good time and built sandcastles with the kids and hubby but you know how it goes. I'm really looking forward to this!

I have already noticed that this is a great place for information and support, I am very glad I found it! My doctor didn't mention a drain either or some other things that I have read but I feel very informed by reading everyone elses experiences.
