How Did You Reward Yourself?

Don't do the PIZZA! Not a good idea to use food as a Reward.. That has been the one habit I struggle to break.. Oh I ate good today so I can have just one cookie - or whew rough day a bowl of icecream would be great. How about a nice spa visit - pedicure would be a great way to enjoy the new you. New purse or shoes are always nice too. Congrats on reaching your goals... Celebrate the "New" You! -

Hello all. I was banded 7/27 too... Weight loss has been slow.. very slow but my second fill - last Thursday has been great.. I have lost 5 lbs already. I think I just needed a good fill to get me on the right track.. 33 pounds total lost but feeling 100% better and enjoying life so much more. Good luck to everyone.. Only 13 more pounds till I hit the 100's.....

I had surgery on Wed and they also found a hernia in my stomach. Went to work that Monday... a little sore for about a week but it was not bad at all.. Good luck.. -
This also happened to me. I actually was getting quite nervous because I couldn't even see my phone to dail numbers. My sister thought it was a side effect to the pain medicine. My surgery was on a Wednesday and my eye sight begin to improve on Sunday.. back to normal within 7 days.. Not sure what causes it but I do feel better knowing it wasn't just me.. I was banded a week ago 7/27 - lost 8 lbs pre-op and now I am down a total of 15 lbs. Scale hasn't moved in the past two days and I was starting to get nervous. Think I will stop weighing everyday! Great job everyone.. We can do this! -

Has anyone kept their lap band a secret?

I sooooo agree with you. I have surgery in the morning and the only person that knows is my husband. My mom had Gastric bypass surgery a few years ago and my sisters were very judgemental. (of course they are the skinny ones in the family) I mainly kept quiet and only wished her to be healthy.
