    Hi!! No they haven't given me a date yet. They said I had to get all the labs and xrays and EGD done then I will see the surgeon and he will set date. His nurse said he will make me lose weight prior to surgery 15-30 lbs....for safety purposes. I have been exercsing and eating healthy for 3 weeks like crazy.......I hope I can lose the required weight. Why do you have to wait till 9/7/11 to submit your insurance the info?

    Got my approval letter today in the mail from my insurance co. and 1 hour later my surgeon's office called to notify me!!!!!!! i screamed so loud!! Thank you for replying to my comment. It helped alot. I have Anthem Blue Cross Blue Sheild insurance. I am so thrilled. I will have my x-rays and labs done next week and then i will meet with my surgeon for all the pre-op details and to schedule surgery. I'm soooo happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I had my psyc eval yesterday.....it was about 1.5 hours. I had to answer 300 questions and bascially interview with him. It was rough. But I was just honest and that made things so much easier. The driving in Memphis killed me more than anything. lol NOW I MEET MY SURGEON ON 8/3/11...........here I go again with the anticipation....I kill myself worrying so much about nothing.....♥

    Thanks!!!! Thats a perfect way to look at it! Thanks!! I see my dietician saturday...one more step closer....I need to find some goals and things I havent been able to do and make me a list. I believe that will help so much.

    I started my 6 month diet program yesterday. I am so excited but sad that I have to wait that long . I know time flies....but I'm so tired of being overweight and feeling ugly....Its such a big part of my life 24/7, feeling fat, feeling ugly, cant find anything to wear, hope no one sees me.......I want to have a new life....new me....happier me. I am thankful that this opportunity has become available, I just hate the waiting. I hope I meet some friends on here.....I need someone to talk to. Sarah

    Susan...that was very encouraging and sweet. BOY..I need this community. Everyone here is so helpful. I feel a bond with everyone and I dont know anyone......I will be patient and not get overwhelmed with all that "will be". It "will be" and thats all that matters.     Melissa.....I am so happy for you. Brought tears to my eyes.....about the time flying by. I hope that all of us that are overweight and living this daily struggle can get through it and come out successful. I know that nothing is fullproof and the doctor told me you can still go back to the exact same weight and emotional issues if you dont make your mind up that this is the CHANGING POINT THAT YOU HAVE DREAMED OF...AND YOU HAVE TO GRAB IT AND DONT EVER LOOK BACK. So Melissa for me and all of us who are struggling out here with our weight..........be successful and enjoy your life to the fullest and God Bless you from all of us out here..

    I understand. I hate that we have to go through all of this but I know they want to be safe. I have left voicemails for both to be done this month.
