Let us know how it goes! I can't wait for my first fill.

I am so glad that I am not alone in avoiding water intake during a meal! It is such a struggle to keep away, especially right after a meal though do any of you find that it makes you feel hungrier quicker? I feel hungry at the appropriate times which goes against the reasoning of not taking in any fluids with a meal. Hmmmm I've noticed a slowing in my weight loss as well when I moved from liquids to mushies but I think that's what we should expect. Congrats on the 25 lbs! That's amazing! I could only hope to do as well when I hit my one month mark in a couple of weeks. Do you have a pre-fill in your band?

I know where you are coming from. When there is no one around to keep us accountable, the pressure falls on ourselves to make the right choices. Maybe it would help you to rectify the behavior by thinking about all that you went through with the surgery and the fight to lose the weight. As the veterans say, it is a mental process as well because the lap band alone isn't magic. I chose the lap band to help me control my hunger and portion sizes but ultimately, what you put in your mouth is still completely up to you. You can do this!!

I'm supposed to be on mushies for 4 weeks and tomorrow is only the end of my first! I don't know how much longer I can carry on with pureed mush. Also, I feel as though I can eat a lot more now and I'm scared I might be eating too much. I realize that my stomach is healing but still it doesn't seem right. For example, just for dinner I put away 2 tablespoons of hummus, 1/2 cup of crab soup and scrambled eggs. Everything seems to be going down fine which can be attributed to the fact that I have no fill whatsoever. I'm freaking out! As for the protein powder, I use GNC pro performance in vanilla (no added sugar) - with half a banana, some ice and milk, it tastes like a milkshake! Love it. Thanks GG! Congrats on the 9.5 lbs. Are you still on the mushie stage?

Hey Augustinians! I have created a YouTube channel to catalog my weight loss progress and have made my first public video ever! Incredibly anxious yet excited about it as well - I am posting the link here so hopefully folks here at Lap Band Talk can support me as I begin this incredible journey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY0shfHXbOQ Cheers! xx

My doc told me that walking a week post op is a MUST but to leave strenuous activity (like weight lifting over 10 lbs) to a month post op.

I watch quite a few actually, they are so awesome! To name a few of my favorites - newtoy4kt, skymoon1982, lizlovesherlapband and rwashburn42890. Who are your faves?

Hey bandsters! Angel here, 25 years old, banded with the Allergan Lap Band on August 26th and am currently 4 days post op. I am doing really well with almost no pain or gas troubles although I am getting really tired of the liquids. I mainly consume cream soups, gatorade and jello. I do feel somewhat restricted already as I can't get down more than a cup of soup at most but I don't know if its the healing process or the band itself (no fill). Is this common? Oh well, one more month to go before I do solids! My starting (and highest weight ever) is 264 lbs - I stand at 5' 7" so that gives me a BMI of nearly 41. Yikes! I am quite determined to lose around 110 lbs so I am focused on following the rules and exercising to get that healthy body we are all after. Using this forum as well as YouTube for motivation and inspiration. There are so many successful bandsters out there with great results, I can't wait to be one of them! Cheers!
