<p><strong><span style="color: #ee82ee"><span style="font-size: 24px"><u><em>Incognito!</em></u></span>&nbsp; </span></strong>I am having lap band surgery and basically no one knows.&nbsp; I have told my daughter and my cousin - I do not keep any secrets from either of them.&nbsp; No one else knows.&nbsp; First, I am humiliated that I let myself get to this point (248 lbs).&nbsp; Second, I don't want anyone to try to talk me out of it.&nbsp; Third, my mother died during surgery two years ago (heart transplant) and I don't want to freak out my dad, brothers and other family members and cause them undue stress due to my impending elective&nbsp;surgery.&nbsp; With that being said, I do not plan on posting any pictures right now.&nbsp; That may change later, when/if I decide to come clean.&nbsp; Has anyone else kept this a secret?&nbsp; I am taking one week's vacation to have surgery and staying with (aka&nbsp;hiding out) at my daughter's house.&nbsp;</p>

<p>July 12 -&nbsp;Seminar</p>
<p>July 15 - First Doctor Supervised Visit with&nbsp;Medical Clearance / Blood work</p>
<p>July 18 - Psychiatric Evaluation</p>
<p>August 18 - Originally Denied, had to provide 6 months of medically supervised failed weight loss attempts</p>
<p>December 1 - Last of the 6 months of medically supervised doctor visits - appeal sent to BCBS Insurance Company</p>
<p>January 11 -&nbsp;Approved!!!&nbsp;(241 lbs.)</p>
<p>January 31, 2012 - Lap Band Surgery scheduled (233 lbs.)</p>
