Full dislosure, I do not know the total cost of the surgery yet.  I will not know that until after I've gone through the entire process.  My out of pocket can NOT exceed 3k so that's all I know.
I am 31 years old and currently at my highest weight of 351 pounds.  I have gained and lost weight over and over again and one time even lost more than 100 pounds, but I couldn't keep it off for more than a year or two.  My latest weight loss attempt resulted in me hurting my already pained knees while working out.  I've already got the letter of medical necessity and have the surgeons office working on gathering everything required to submit to Aetna for approval.  I start my weight loss classes (4 are required) on July 26th and will have one per month through October.  I'm hoping to have my surgery in November, possibly even the day before Thanksgiving so that I can use less PTO.
