I have always been overweight, even as a child, but in the last 4 years my weight gain has been imense and the pounds I'd gain every year would only increase. I did everything I could think of, but nothing was long term. After my family came into some extra money, my mother offered me Lap Band as a solution. It was never an option I let myself think to much on, since I never thought I'd be able to afford it. After researching it and discussing the option with my doctors me and my family decided that it would be the best option for me. I had surgery on July 8th 2011, and can't wait to become who I always meant to be.
