I am now 54 years old. I had my surgery on March 29th, 2007. I was 317 lbs before the surgery, but after pre-surgery diet, I was 296 on the day of the surgery. I lost the weight and we to 189 lbs after 14 months. I found myself allowing my weight to creep up to 217-lbs as of May 2011. I quickly looked for solutions instead of waiting for more weight to be added. I went into a new "Micro-nutrient" phase, which is juicing.I brought me a juicing amchine and so far, so good. I do have a problem somedays with hunger, but I will drink another juice. Some of the veggies are apples(for sweetness), celery, squash, tomatoes, green peppers, catalope, watermelon, greens, oranges, celery, carbage. I allowed myself to slip back to some of the old habits. I am now 196 lbs as of 7/21/2011. I do the micro-nurient thing all during the day. I have the juice of 9 veggies, then a cat-fish for lunch. At dinner timeI am having soup, plus the fish at about 1 to 3 hour later. Baked only, but sometime I microwave it at 8:30 mins. Now I am in a self impsed program of 4 days of 32-37 minutes of stationary biking at level 6-7, of  about 3 minutes--I pump it up to level 9. On the next 2 days--it's nothing but cardio of 45 to 60 minutes--Sat & Sun(30 minutes riding, 5 minute break--hopping back on--30 more minutes). I take off Tuesday's only. I exercise M-W-F with my teenagers and I challenge them to beat me in the weight lidfting and time on the bike or treadmill.  I have found out that when I do calorie setting on the bike--I put in 250 calories--I end up doing 37 minutes during the week. So far in 45 days, I have lost 17 pounds. I went into the doctors office to get a vitamin B count, and the other tests. The tests came out normal--except they said, my fluid intake needs to increase. I am doing 90 ounces water & other drinking as of today, but I am expecting to go to 120 ounces of fluid this week. 60 ounces water, 2 - 32 ounce bottles of gatorade or powerade. My nutrients are vitamin B, D, Calcium and 27 other important nutrients, since I am eating far less food that normal. I am eating 2 eggs in my soup, nightly. As of now, Iam not using a normal vitamin, but a powdered one. So far as of 7/17/2011, my weight was at 196. I dopn't check weight everyday--to me it makes no sense. I do the 7 day checks and this way--I will feel good or better. As a 54 y/o black male in the Mississippi area, I am very odd as I am told by my friends. I workout instead of doing the beer and the BBQ's. I am a guy on the outside, looking in...
