  4. Aw, no problem, lady. We are all on the same boat here, hoping to have a better and healthier life. I just know how much August 4th means to me, so I wanted to make sure it was a good day for you too. Yeah, sometimes, our friends and family don't really know exactly HOW MUCH this really means to us. I am glad everything went okay, and I hope you hear back from your insurance soon!

    Hey everyone!

Hey lady! Welcome, I love having another young Floridian join the board! It is awesome to have you. I will also be a September sleever if all things work out right. I am from Tampa, Fl and I will starting up school there in the fall. I am sure this is going to be quite the journey for both of us, having this surgery in the beginning of the school year, but we will both get through it and be better for it!
  6. Aw, I am sorry. I can at least help with the Avatar. Go to your profile. In the top right corner there will be a button "Edit My Profile", click that then it will allow you to edit your profile picture and your avatar. The profile picture is what people see when they get on your profile, and the avatar is what everyone see when you post.

    Rant - clothing size (pics)

I have to say this thread gives me hope the weight will come off, but it kind of makes me sad because I am REALLY bottom heavy. There is already a huge difference between my upper and lower body.
  8. From March to September for me, so about 7 months. Ah... the joys of 6MPSWL....
  9. Good luck tomorrow! I am sure you must be so excited to be done with the 6MPSWL. Keep us posted!

  10. Libbe, good luck tomorrow! I am so excited for you. Please keep us posted on what your insurance decides!

  11. Only three more days! I am getting so excited for you!

Carnie Wilson made the news today

Wow, that was a horrible article. I don't even know why her weight should come into that! Now, I am really upset on her behalf. I really hope things work out for her.

    My date is August 11

Well, congrats for getting here! That is a great day in my opinion (it is my mom's b-day). Good luck on your journey and again congrats on getting a date!

    Non Scale Victory-7 months

Wow, congrats to you and your husband!
  17. Hey lady! Loving someone else from Tampa being on the forum! Hope everything goes well for you.

  18. Khy, yeah, that is the worst for me. There are so many instances where I have been assumed incompetent just because of my weight. It REALLY pisses me off.

    Celery question

Huh, interesting topic. Never knew about the raw veggies.... that is kind of sad.
  21. Wow, you just look so happy. Your journey has been so inspirational.
  22. FINALLY! Lol, I just have to tell you how excited I am to read your post. I have been dying for someone else to be having surgery with Dr. Webb in J-ville. Welcome to the forum! You can definitely start the diet now, and maybe even go on the pre-surgery diet to get a head start on shrinking the liver. The binder Novus Center gave you should have everything in it that you need to get started. Also, it is not about letting go of the foods you love. It is about developing a new relationship with them. I mean last night I had a BBQ picnic with my program and.... Let me get this out now, I LOVE PIE.... Okay, so I really love pie. I normally would have two pieces at least! They even gave me the rest of the pie to take home and you know what? I went for the second piece and only had a bite. Me? The pie lover extraordinaire? Yes! One bite and I put it in the trash. I didn't need it and I didn't want it controlling me. You can do this.
  23. Looking good! Keep it up.

    New Sleever

@jasleeve: That is so sweet! Thank you, that is such a great compliment. I love this forum and interacting with such great people on every stage of their journey. I can't tell you how much I empathize with you and where you are at right now. I started the 6MPSWL with excitement and impatience, so I really do know how you feel, but as you keep going... learning more about life after sleeve and interacting with the people on here, you just pause and realize, this is really about making this your personal journey and trying to make the most out of your sleeve. I try not to think of this 6MPSWL as a wait time, but as me really changing how I think about food and exercise. This is the rest of our lives. @Anakin Jay: You might need to talk to your insurance about whether the 6MPSWL has to be with a nutritionist or with a physician. I know for me UHC Choice Plus requires a physician, so definitely ask. The benefit for also using my PCP is she already has everything in her records about me, and the visits were covered by insurance.
