Aw, I am so sorry, Kayla. I hope they approve the sleeve. I remember when you first started on here, and you found out your insurance might not cover the sleeve. I hope they change their minds and you get the surgery you want.

Ah, I know... There is this wonderful place called Stucchi's here in Ann Arbor that has Butter Pecan worth dying for. -
This recipe was born from my desperation for something like fried chicken on my low carb diet. I will write down the directions for both fried and baked chicken thighs. The only problem with this recipe for me is that is super duper high in sodium, so please be aware if the scale doesn't move in the morning it is probably because of the Water retention, lol. 1 and 1/2 bags of pork rinds (I used Kroger brand) 3 large eggs 4 tbsp italian seasoning 2 tbsp garlic powder 48 oz (3 lbs) of chicken thighs (I prefer dark meat) For frying: 24 oz (2 cups) of peanut oil for pan fry 1) Crush the pork rinds to a fine consistency by adding the pork rinds to a sealable plastic bag and crushing with a rolling pin or can. ---- If frying, pour the 24 oz of peanut oil into the frying pan (about 9 inches circumfrence) and place on high heat to heat oil. ---- If baking, grease baking sheet with non-stick spray. 2) Add italian seasoning and garlic powder to crushed pork rind bag and mix. 3) Whisk the 3 eggs together in a bowl. 4) Dip each chicken thigh into the egg wash. 5) After dipping, place chicken thigh into bag and cover chicken in crumbs. ---- if frying, place chicken thighs into pan to fry and remove from pan when golden brown. ---- if baking, place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Each serving is 6 oz of chicken. Author's note: If properly frying, the oil should not technically permeate the breading. Therefore, I have not included the caloric breakdown for the frying. However, we don't always fry correctly, so be sure to add at least some of the calories for whatever type of oil being used when making the recipe for frying. If baking, the caloric breakdown is listed below.

Welcome to the group! It is great to have you. Don't be afraid to just jump right into the board, this is the place to find information and support if you need it. I didn't tell anyone but my boyfriend and my mother. Not many people in my life would understand why I am having the surgery at my age, but I am sure this is the best decision for me to take control of my health and become happier and healthier person. I don't want to spend the rest of my life regretting my life and end up with the diabetes (which both my parents have), the heart disease, or the blood pressure problems that surely as I yo-yo up and down for the next ten years. I won't tell my sister or my friends unless I really feel like they will support my decision. Also, the 6MSWL will be a good time you to find out all about this surgery and what it entails to make the best of it.

Aw, thank you that is such a great compliment. I really like to see the silver lining. Life is way too short to be caught up in the negative. Again congrats on hearing back on the sleep apnea test and moving forward on your journey! I know you will make this happen or keep on pushing til you do.

You seem to be making all the right moves, but it looks like the band failed you. I like reading this post because it says you aren't going to give up and you are still willing to fight! Weight loss surgery is not universal and one size does not fit all. Woohoo, another Dr. Webb, I am not even joking how ecstatic that makes me! I have read about him from some previous posters at OH and a little on here, but it awesome keep seeing his name come up. I wish you all the best in your decision, and welcome again!

@carscot01: I can see why you were bummed. That is a pretty convoluted process that really seems to go a little backwards. Good luck on your journey, I am sorry it is having a rough start. You will get through this though. @favoredone: My body did the same thing. I used to eat 1 meal a day at the end of a 12 hours day. Welcome to the forum! Hope you find the information you need from the forum, this is a great place to find that and support. -
Nah, I would not leave my boyfriend just because I lost weight. I chose him because he has all the qualities that make him a wonderful boyfriend. He loves me for me, even when I don't, and he supports me decision to get healthier and slimmer. He is slightly overweight by about 25 lbs, but that has no effect on his attractiveness in my eyes. I only worry about him gaining more weight because he already has high blood pressure and cholesterol. I am hoping when we move in together we can start a new chapter for both of us and get healthier.

Lol, I totally understand your mindset. I think after surgery I will be of the same opinion. Congrats! -
Welcome! This is one of the best places to find information and get support for whatever stage you are in your journey. I lived in J-ville for the last 10 years, but I am in Tampa now. However, I will still be having my surgery with Dr. Webb at North Florida Surgeons. You are so not alone here. You might wanna check on the band to sleeve revision forum on this website and maybe look up LilMissDiva and Tiffykins. They are both very successful revisions.

Wow, you are such a radiant woman! I hope I look half as good when I am pregnant. Thank you so much for sharing the update. I love hearing about you and Tatum's progress.

@carscot01: Wait, I am confused. How do you have a denial letter? Normally, you have to complete everything then you submit. -

Oh wow, forerunner sounds awesome. I second Disney's question.
-
If your sodium intake is high, lower that. If you aren't drinking enough water, try drinking more.
-
Well, I am glad to have both of you on this forum! Good luck on your journeys, and I will be keeping you in my thoughts.
-
Exactly! I so feel so excited for the both us! That isn't too far away. I really wish you the best on your journey.
