  1. You know I will keep you updated! Thank you so much! I am so excited.

  2. Hey Everyone! I just wanted to check in an see how everyone is doing so far! I am on day 8 of me pre-op diet and so far I have lost another 6 pounds. If I can get to 227 which is 3 lbs away in six days, I will be one of the happiest people on the planet! I want to hit that Labor Day goal! I am getting so psyched about this surgery. It has definitely been energy draining and at times extremely difficult, but we are almost in September!

Super Easy - Crustless low-carb quiche

I totally have to stay away from the recipe forum for awhile. Doing only liquids and reading this totally made me drool. I can't wait until I am able to eat something like this.
  10. You look wonderful. Work it!

  14. That's so amazing and such a great milestone to achieve. Congrats!
  15. I know!!!! I am so excited. I am definitely ready. I am already pre-registered at the hospital just need to get my pre-op testing done.

  16. I am back and I will be having surgery in a few days. Getting really excited! How are you? We will have to plan a time to meet up!

  17. I would have definitely appreciated hearing that. Sometimes, in "real life" you don't really see as many people saying they have had WLS.
  18. On a good day, I think insurances requires the 6 months because the want to see the patient's dedication to making the required appointments and making sure the surgery will be successful. Furthermore, I think the six months may be helpful in making sure the patient is showing initiative to lose weight or at least maintain. These are just my thoughts on the matter. On a bad day, I think they just want to see us fail so that they do not have to cover the procedure. P.S. Though the six months may be time consuming and seemingly pointless, it is a good time to reflect on why you want the surgery, gain new habits that will help you in life after surgery, and prepare your family (and kitchen) for how things will change afterward.

    No Small Change!

Welcome! It is great to have you be a part of this forum and part of the September sleeve family!
  21. Okay, so I have been drinking about four to five protein shakes a day, and I hated carrying around all those silly little powders in baggies. However, as I was walking through Walmart this last Monday, I discovered Baby Formula Dispensers! They have three compartments that stay separated, so you can hold up to three different protein powders! I can't tell you how much I love this thing. I don't know how I would live with out it. I bought the Munchkin Formula Powder Dispenser at Walmart for 2.50. It was such a bargain for how easy it has made my life.
  22. Look up starygrl. She loves to dance and has been working her sleeve for a couple of months.
  23. Aw, I am sorry, lady. That sounds quite hard to deal with. Hopefully, this won't last long!
