  1. You look like a different person! Congrats!
  2. Not bad, you must be starting it really soon then. Yeah, I am right off Skipper, lol. What made you decide to go to Mexico?

  3. I say find a protein shake you love! I think you can do it, but it will definitely be mentally trying. I prefer the Premier Chocolate Protein Shake. It has 30g of protein and 5g of carbs at 160 calories. For shaking up the flavor, I like to add sugar free syrups from Torani like black cherry (it is like eating a chocolate covered cherry) or cinnamon vanilla. They have no carbs or 1g of carbs and they are delicious!
  4. I am so happy to see everyone progressing so well, even those of us who are in or just got out of a stall. It happens, but the scale will move again! We just have to keep going with the plan.

    GOODBYE to my Mirena??

My surgeon was totally the opposite. He barely even blinked. I kept my mirena in and no one ever said a thing. That's weird. I would possibly ask your gyno what he/she thinks about surgery with mirena and for him/her to discuss it with your surgeon.

    Women Only Question

Unfortunately, I have already dropped a cup size and two band sizes. I wasn't that gifted in the breast department to begin with. It is very depressing.

    Feeling discouraged

That might also help. I say try it. It can't hurt.
  8. Good luck! It sounds like you are doing awesome!
  9. I wore the hospital gown the entire time. It is just easier with all the cords and injections.
  10. Totally the right attitude. Just keep with it. How ya feeling otherwise?

  11. Hey Em, IO am going to be in J-ville on November 3rd through the 5th for my mom's VSG. Lemme know if you wanna meet up!

    Feeling discouraged

When I was five weeks out I had only lost 17 lbs also. It has just been this week that the scale started moving again. Stick to the plan! Drink your water. The scale will start moving again.
  13. The Premier Strawberry shakes aren't bad, just not as good as the chocolate in my opinion.
  14. Sounds awesome! Glad you are loving the sleeve. Congrats on the great weight loss!
  15. Aw, that is rough. At least, she has such a caring mother to be there with her. Keeping her in my thoughts and hoping for the best.
  16. Exactly, Rebel! I totally agree every day is a learning day. I think I am really learning to change my life. I never want to be in the 200s again. I can't believe only 5 lbs until onederland!

    Avoiding the subject.....

You go, lady! Try and ignore them if you can. Even if they are not supportive, you are doing what is right for you.
  18. It does. The lack of calories can be really hard on the system. As soon as I got on soft foods, my quality of life raised exponentially.
  19. You sound so happy. Congrats!
  20. Bready things can be sliders. You know now for next time to go for the protein shake.

    Discouraged

I know. I really want to tell my friends and family about my sleeve, but I haven't lost more than 20 lbs in a month and a half. Some people lose that in two weeks, and I don't want them to think I am failing. However, as long as the scale keeps moving in the right direction I will try to stay positive.

    6 Week Follow Up Visit

That's amazing! You are working that sleeve. Congrats!
  23. I totally understand. It will be here before you know it. Less than 2 miles north of USF. Do you have pre-op diet?
