Hi November sleeves! Just wondering how those who will have surgery before thanksgiving plan on dealing with the holiday! And those after who are on a pre-op diet are going to handle it. I know we're are all different times during the month but all have to face this day dedicated to our enemy FOOD!!!!

Only thing I would add is when I get pregnant for people to know I'm pregnant and not just fat

Hey everyone I need everyone's opinion. I found out in July I'll be losing my job in march 2013. I have a tentative surgery date of nov 12th. I am looking for a new job but I'm scared that I'll get one in oct and not be able to take a week off in nov. what is everyone's thoughts????

When did you tell them?? During the interview or once it was offered to you?

I am not on a program. My first visit she went over foods and the protein values. Friday I had my second one which she went over the most beneficial shakes /protein supplements and also Vitamins for after surgery. my third is oct 4th and she said she is going over my diet stages! I feel like one visit to her would have been plenty! Everything she is telling me I have read on here! What is the prescribe fit plan your on? Does your dr require it?

Hi Dana I also need the 90 day requirement from Aetna. My last one is oct 4th but I have to do my class with my hospital oct 26th which is why I am not until November. How have your NUT appointments been? I have been a little disappointed by mine.

I'm with you I was planning on taking off only a week! My job is the same sit all day type. And I know they would let me work from home or leave early if need be. I guess it will all depend on how you feel. My doc told me to take off for 4 weeks. I don't think that would be good for my recovering because I would so crazy

I was instructed to be on clear liquids the week after and full liquids the week after. What you are eating is the Muskie diet normally eaten on week 3

Hi everyone!!! I'm Amy I'm 28 from south jersey. I have a tentative surgery date of 11/12. Fingers crossed everything goes as planned. I was scheduled for lap band surgery last November but had a change in insurance right before which caused a denial. ( everything happens for a reason right???) I just got new insurance in July and have been doing all my requirements since than! I'm am excited to have surgery and start living the life I have always wanted. I can't wait to go on this journey with everyone!!!

I am also a food addict! I have not been sleeved yet but am hoping the sleeve in assist in helping me to now allow me to turn to food when I'm bored or upset. I'm hoping it helps to push me to exercise or turn my emotions in another direction other than food.

Glad yours went well! I had mine and don't get me wrong the lady was nice but all she did was read from a paper. Most of the information I already knew from the forum but I couldn't believe insurance would pay for it. Now I have 2 more she said we will go over vitamins and protein powders in the next tow. Hopefully she doesn't read from a paper or I'll lose my mind

Can't anyone else at the office send over the info to the insurance company?? That is crazy see if you can talk to the office manager. Someone should be able to help you

For me it will take a total of 3 months before surgery depending on your insurance and doctor
