jeeptrk03 started following Omg, I'm Normal!!!, Heartburn, Antibiotic Before The Dentist and and 7 others
-
I drank alcohol on Saturday and it seems every since then, I have been having really bad heartburn. I seem to get it even when I have not eaten or drank anything in a while. I have not tried any medication yet. I keep thinking it will go away. Has anyone else ever had this problem.

Thank you all for your input I was told we should take an antibiotic before have dental work done, because we now have a foreign object in our bodies (the lap band), and if any infection were to come into the blood stream, the foreign object is the first place it would go.

Just curious..... I know I am suppose to take an antibiotic before going to the dentist, but I forgot to take it this morning, and I have an appointment this afternoon. Has anyone ever not taken it before the dentist? If so, did everything go ok. Open to any advice thank you,

OMG, I completely know what you are talking about and unfortunatley I have found that most sweets go down really well Once I start, it is hard to stop. I did really good until the Christmas cookies came along. I have great restriction, I just need to cut the sweets for a while. Once I get back into a routine, I will be good. I refuse to journal and count as well. My doctor doesn't want me to. It didn't work for me before and it truthfully stresses me out.

I also had a hematoma. It caused old blood to come out of the corner of my port incision. The doctor kept an eye on it and had me on antibiotics for several days until it was no longer draining. I was freaked out. Due to this, I had excessive bruising in the port area that lasted a long time. My doctor could still feel quite a bit of fluid around the port when I got my first fill (about 6 weeks post-op), but was still able to do it right in the office. Needless to say, it has gotten better, and I havn't had any other issues. Just keep an eye on it and give it time. I'm sure it will be fine. I hope this helps

My feet definitely changed. My feet used to swell badly on a daily basis. They do not swell at all anymore and they actually look kind of boney....lol. They would also hurt everytime I got up, especially if I sat very long, and now, they don't bother me at all It's the little things -
