I had lap band surgery in 2009. Initially, I lost weight like crazy... but, honestly, my band was too tight and I was throwing up entirely too much.
Because I was going on a cruise that summer, my doctor agreed to completely empty my band ("bandvacation"). I ate everything in site, assuming he would tighten it back up as it was pre-vacation. Instead, I gained about 20 pounds and he caught on to the fact that I was too tight. Now, he only tightens my band under fluoro... and if I'm going to lose more weight, I'm going to have to change a lot of my habits.
I've learned all sorts of tricks to get around the band... I know what I can eat that I'm not supposed to... I've gotten re-addicted to sugar....
and I want to change.
I'm here for support.
