sleeve 4 me

I have no regrets...I do wish I could have had it done at 29, when I was done having babies, I'm 44 now. God knows. The only cons are not being able to drink with my meals, and it does at times get depressing not being able to eat more food. But that's what keeps my weight down, SO WORTH IT! My peak weight was 234. I started on this forum at 216. Surgery weight 204 and my lowest weight has been 144 (and that's with trying to maintain by adding sweets). I have been in maintenance for 10 months and bounce between 144-148.

OK my friends, I'm 19 months post op today and weighed in at 148. This is with eating whatever and exercising 6 days a week. So I would say so far, so good. No complaints ...see you Saturday!

So sorry you are going through this. I too feel I have personally been attacked at times, but I consider the source, and try to move on. I hope you stay ...hugs!!!

I felt semi normal on day 14...really good at about 6 or 7 months out.

I have lost hundreds of pounds since my teenage years, the problem was I would always gain it back. I am currently 10 months in maintenance and it's a miracle!!! Just sayin...

I started drinking from a straw pretty quickly, my surgeon said it was ok as long as I didn't get in any extra air at the end of the drink...I started chewing gum at about 10 months out, thankfully I haven't swallowed any by mistake.

Yes I really try not to get grossed out, but I can't help it. I guess it's because I get so full on just a few bites I CAN NOT IMAGINE eating all that food anymore !!! But I try not to judge, they can't help it, they don't have sleevie.

I initally thought I was going with the lap band for sure...then I went to several seminars and becamed very informed on all 3 wls. The sleeve just seemed to be the best option for me.
