Hey I've heard South Bay Harbor City is the BEST! They are one of the best Bariatric facilities nationwide out of 200 hospitals (and there are over 200 hospitals in California alone). They actually end up of fixing all the problem cases from Pacific and Crown. The surgeons are the BEST! It's worth the wait. Of course it's just my opinion...it's ultimately your decision:redface1:. -
OK I was just going over my notes from my options classes and biotin isn't even on the list of vitamins to take after surgery for hair. I was amazed to find out that they actually recommend B1 as the vitamin to take to prevent hair loss (along with the protein)...Does anyone take B1 on a regular basis???

I wonder who is on the bariatric board/team that is going to discuss your appeal? I hope Davis Rodruck PHD is on the team. He is wonderful. He is in charge of the options classes at the Fontana facility where I attended my classes. He strongly believes in the surgery as a tool, and helping overweight people to get healthy :-).

I'm so happy about your news! Believe me when I say both surgeons at Harbor City Kaiser believe in this surgery and want to help everyone who needs it. My husband is 185 lbs. and has diabetes and asked both surgeons at the seminar in June if they would do the surgery on someone like him who is only 30 lbs. over weight and both surgeons said YES! I will say a prayer for you that everything comes together quickly :-).

Thanks dolls! Hahahaha! You are funny Humpty! I tried one of those pills before and it made me SOOO sick lol! I think I will try cutting out the carbs tomorrow (too late for today), I'm sure that will help me lose by next Wednesday. Thanks again!!

That is awesome! If you need any help after that with wording let me know, I can ask my husband for his help. YES 3 1/2 weeks to go!!! I can't believe it's really almost here. My pre op appt is NEXT WEDNESDAYYYYYY LOL!!! I'm trying so hard to lose before that appointment but it's just not coming off :-( very depressing! This process started last June and now it's almost here!! I'm getting a little nervous! I'm about to have part of my stomach literally chopped off yikes:001_huh: lol! I will let you know how my pre op goes :-).

Premier pre-made protein shakes are the best (at least to me). You can buy them at Costco or Sam's Club.
