Hey girlie! I did really well at work today
. I was able to drink my shake and take my vitamins in the morning. Everyone said I look great, and that felt good. Someone even said wow you're half way there, and I was like um no I still have 48 lbs. to go, they kinda looked at me a little puzzled (probably thinking dang you were huge lol) but that was nice of them to think I was half way there..I think LOL . It was SOOOO hot here in Southern California 113 degrees in some areas. Guess what??? I bought a pair of size 12 jeans and they fit...kinda tight around the waist and butt lol, but they are wearable and I don't have to keep pulling them up like my 14's. How are you doing girlie????? -

That's awesome! I would have loved 2 more weeks off to exercise without trying to fit it in . Take it and run lol!!! -
No chest x-ray. At the pre-op appointment you will have another EKG and blood work and urine sample. And that's about it
...Also, Dr. Zane put me on a 2 day full liquid diet before the surgery (anything that goes through a straw). -
OK without saying too much here...What foods will HELP ME in the FIBER area during this mushie stage????? OMGOSH!

I hit 189 today ...I haven't been in the 80's since 2004. I know I still have a ways to go, but feels good :biggrin0:

YES rest is a big part of the healing process. I didn't drive until 2 weeks after my surgery and continued to rest the next 2 weeks after that. It really really helped me. I'm finally going back to work tomorrow after 4 weeks off. I'm feeling really good. -

One thing I've learned on this journey is not to be too hard on myself. I had my list of things to do post surgery (get in protein, water, vitamins, etc.) and wanted to be the perfect patient and just couldn't do it. I was so hard on myself, and it was depressing. Our bodies are adjusting and eventually we will be able to drink and eat more with each new day. So now I'm taking it one day at a time So take this time to rest and heal I know WE WILL get there! -
