Hi, I think it is great that you have had the pre op tests. Often when people go to Mexico to get there surgery they feel they won't need pre or post op help. When you go to Mexico you are paying to get a surgery and a few nights after. When you come home you should at least have a GP to be able to check your blood work and general health. Yes it is less expensive to go to Mexico, however that means the responsability is yours to make sure you have the right care when you get home. I went to Mexico to have my surgery and I don't regret it. I did have my blood work and endoscopy before I left and I have my gp to go to if I need help. I also use this and other sites to get information of what to expect, Many people here have a lot of knowledge. Best wishes

It is so normal to feel anxious about having surgery and drasticly changing your life. Knowing that, it is sometimes easier to get through this pre surgery time by over planing and scheduling. Keeping busy will help the time move faster and to remember to keep your eyes on your goals with their end results. Best wishes

There was alot of people who went by themselves and had the suport of the other patients at the clinic. When I went, I started a forum post with the date I was going and asked people who were going to be there the same time. I got several responses and knew some people before I arrived. I also made new friends while I was there and we exchanged emails.

Congatulations! What a blessing! I can't help with the asprin issue, I just thought what a nice way to start my day by hearing of a baby to be born.

I had one for my hysterectomy and I feel my recovery was easier and faster because I was able to exercise for a longer durration. After it was taken out I didn't exercise as much and got fatigued faster.

I heaved the first 2 days after surgery and hadn't any leaks. Although I don't recomend pushing the sleeve you can see that 2 days of vomitting didn't hurt it, so it is durable. I also agree with Lissa in trying to not get to the full feeling, you'll be happier in the long run.

I had a bananna jamba juice smoothe day 4 after surgery. I could not eat it all, but it was good and it didn't hurt my sleeve.

I picked a weight I was after the birth of my first born.

I had this conversation with my husband. He asked out of fear of loss of my life from surgery. Then I asked him to remember any meal we had togeather, if I ate a lot? He feels I ate like a bird before surgery ( he is a man that can eat what ever he wants and still has the 32 inch waist from high school ) . I told him that I was always hungry. I was always trying to keep the weight off and I thought of food as one should think of God. No one should be tortured like that. VSG takes away the desire to fill up. It's such a pleasure to wake up in the morning and not want to hunt and kill the refridgerator.

I love the taste of water, but I take in too much air for it to bee comfortable at this time.
