Popcorn is the one food I've noticed is a complete slider for me . . . luckily it's not too much of a trigger food, I don't crave it often so it's not likely to be a problem for me. I don't care much about sweets so they would probably be a slider but I haven't had enough to find out.

Boohoo :-( I'm Back In The 200S
Indymom replied to upwardfocusedgirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc's scale always weighs heavier than mine at home. I do my weekly tracking based upon my scale so I don't really worry about what his says. My appointments are usually in the afternoon while my weigh-ins are in the morning (naked, after I've had a BM if possible!!) and of course I'm clothed at his weigh-in. Don't sweat it, your loss is great! -
Yum, I forgot about those unwiches! JJ delivers to my work too, so I will try to remember that. I want one right now!!
-
Haha, I just asked on another post what brand of jeans you wear since you're curvy - I have the answer now! Now off to figure out where I can buy them near me.
-
You look great! Great loss for just 2 months. I'm jealous of your curves, too.

Old Navy=Awesome. Faded Glory=Mean.
Indymom replied to minaleigh's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congratulations! Shopping will just continue to get more and more fun!! Forensikchik, I found the same thing with the ON jeans I bought . . . when I put them on in the mornings they are snug at my waist and super-tight in the thighs/butt . . . . but by the end of the day they are comfy on the thighs and WAY too loose at the waist. Any suggestions for good "curvy woman" jeans that aren't womens' sized? I can't buy in the W section anymore because I'm in a 14. -
Saggy Skin Tips And Tricks
Indymom replied to crosswind's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
VERY interesting. I am going to check into getting a skin brush as well . . . it certainly can't hurt anything and I bet it feels good too! -
I'm with Catracks, I allow myself a treat here & there. I just went on a cruise and while I focused on my protein, I let myself have treats during the trip (wine, cocktails & tropical drinks, a few bites of dessert, a small piece of french toast in the mornings some days, I even had some bread & butter with dinner a couple times!!). I was very active during the whole trip and ended up losing 2 lbs. I felt like I was eating like a "normal" person!! It was very liberating.

At What Point Did Your Stomach Capacity Grow?
Indymom replied to Aussiegirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My capacity increased gradually, I think it was at about month 3 that I moved to 4 oz . . . month 4 & 5 I was at 5 oz . . . now that I am at almost 7 months I can usually eat close to 6 oz per meal (depending on what I'm having, i.e. how dense the protein is, etc.). -
NcBreez, I was also at a starting weight close to yours (I was about 265) and I'm 5'4". Way to go Jai!! You look awesome!!

Calling Experienced Sleevers - - Tell Me It Gets Better?!
Indymom replied to vsgm's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It gets better - hang in there! I was sleeved 8/10 and like the previous poster, can eat nearly everything (foods that are greasy or really high in fat don't sit well, but otherwise I'm good). I love Mexican food too, and I enjoy it on a fairly regular basis. I get a fajita steak or chicken salad without the fried tortilla shell, and enjoy primarily the protein with lots of grilled veggies, pico de gallo, salsa, and a bit of sour cream. I even treat myself to a few chips with salsa before the meal! -
From size 24 to size 14 Yeah!!!!
Indymom replied to AMLP's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Size 24 was my starting point too! I'm also in a 14 and loving it . . . congrats on your weight loss!! -
Memory Lane - The Wardrobe Remix!
Indymom replied to Ducker's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congrats! I SO wish I would have kept smaller clothes but they would be SO outdated now it wouldn't matter. -
It's a great feeling! I was able to buy size 14 jeans at Old Navy the other day - WOOT!

Learning To Eat Slower
Indymom replied to fitforlife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Right after my surgery I would keep a book or magazine close by - I would take a bite, read a page, etc. I was a really fast eater too so it's been hard for me to adapt! -
When I hear San Dimas I think about Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure! I think I'm showing my age with that comment though. I had Qdoba today for lunch - their children's naked chicken burrito is perfect - I get it without rice, so I get pinto Beans, grilled chicken, pico, salsa verde and a bit of sour cream. I get a side of chips and queso and just have a few chips - it's delicious and the perfect size. I can't finish all the beans but I pick out all the chicken and tomatoes. Plus it's only $4 and change and comes with a drink, too.

Ok Question About Calories
Indymom replied to crazycatlady8's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 6 months out and eat between 800-1000 cals/day. I keep my protein above 75 grams, and I try to keep my carbs and fat both below 40-50 grams/day. I eat a TON of grilled chicken, I love red meat but sometimes it's too much fat and calories for my plan. -
I was on omeprazole and it didn't work - my acid production was awful. They switched me to dexilant and no problems at all now!

It's Girl Scout Cookie Season....aaarrrrgggghhh!
Indymom replied to apw0's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Luckily I'm not too much of a sweets person. I ordered a few boxes of cookies - I like the Thin Mints but I can stop after one or two. They are good right out of the freezer . . . . -
Make sure you're doing your walking too! I think that made the difference in my early weight loss.
-
I am going to definitely spend some more time checking out that blog. I love those "cupcakes" with the wonton wrappers. There was one that was about 150 cals and 15 grams Protein - that definitely fits into my program!! THANKS! Another good site is skinnytaste.com. She does WW recipes too and with some modification you can find lots of good options for sleeve-friendly meals.

I Need Meal Ideas. What Is Everyone Eating At 5 Months Out?
Indymom replied to MAKF's topic in Food and Nutrition
I'm close to 6 months out. Today I ate egg beaters, a couple pieces of bacon and a couple tbsp of hash browns for Breakfast (the bacon was a treat, normally I have canadian bacon in the mornings). lunch was buffalo chicken dip (LF version) and a few reduced fat tortilla chips. dinner was ham, green Beans and a small blob of mashed potatoes. I eat a ton of grilled chicken, raw veggies with reduced-fat sour cream ranch dip, reduced fat cheese, and egg beaters are my best friend for breakfast. -
While we're on this topic, what happens when I am getting too small for a 14/16 in the women's section but I'm too big for a regular 14/16 in the misses section? I tried on various pairs of size 14 jeans at Goodwill and couldn't even get them over my butt!! Any suggestions for jeans that are inexpensive that are made for curvy women? I have a full rear end and generous hips.

Awesome! Now I wish I hadn't given all my fat pants away already - I didn't think to keep a pair. BOO.
