In the past, I never had a "weight' issue. I was the one who could eat anything and not gain a pound. I was 24 and 133 lbs when I got pregnant with my first child. I remember almost being hospitalized for not gaining enough weight durning my pregnancy. Wow have times changed. After my first pregnancy, I gained weight easily now. I couldn't eat just anything like I was used to and now with working full time and taking care of an infant I didn't have the time or energy to excerise. So I gained weight. In 2005, I got married, to my baby's father and long time love. We also bought our first house that same year. So the stories I heard about gaining 15lbs after getting married because your so happy etc., well they turned out to be true for me. I was 150 lbs when I got married that year by 2008 when I got pregnant with my second child I was 165 lbs. No problems gaining weight that pregnancy. I did avoid scales and mirrors. I knew I had gained weight, I just kept telling myself, I will work on it. I would try every diet, work out with a trainer to lose 10 or 15lbs and then after a couple of weeks of slacking I would be right back where I started. After seeing pictures of me at a family event recently, I literally didn't reconigze the girl in the pics, that of course was me. I have gained so much weight, I was just depressed and feeling horrible about myself, myself esteem just went from 100 to 0. I stepped on the scale after viewing those pics and there it was 196 lbs. And that is what is starting my journey.
