Stuck At The Same Weight Since Feb.
transforming jlaroux replied to I love lucy lover's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hoe much protein are you getting? Do you eat enough calories? Are you near your goal weight? Schedule an appointment with your dietician and bring a food diary with you! Renember too, your body needs to adjust anx we have to plateau, unfortunately! Also, maybe add sime weights to your cardio workout. Lean muscle burns fat. Good luck! Dont give up! -
Try Dreamfields pasta. Its high in protein has only 5 g of digestable carbs and... Drumroll please..... Tastes like you're eating regular pasta!!! Ive tricked family and company! No one can believe its good for you! Lol

Milkshake
transforming jlaroux replied to gingerwale's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a tremendous amount of trouble with milkshakes. they are so thick that for me they get stuck. You also drank it pretty fast. Also, if you have been eating healthy liquids, you may be experiencing some lactose intolerance/high sugar/ high fat signals. -
Down to 222.

Secret Foods That Has Made Your Journey Easier?
transforming jlaroux replied to okiekatt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Also, plain greek yogurt with sugar and fat free jello or pudding crystals mixed in. U can also mix in the crystal lite crystals. Endless possibilities! Just be careful w the puddibg crystals because it makes the yogurt super thick if u use too much. -
So, for 13 years, this outfit has been, as my daughter would say, "mocking me" in my closet. It's a size 16 pants suit. I wore it one time to a friends rehearsal dinner. After that, I started putting on weight and hung it in my closet because "someday it would fit." Well, my "someday" is here. I tried it on, and it FITS!!!!! So, off to the dry cleaners to get 13 years of dust off of it. Its a beautiful suit, bright mustard yellow, and very well made, so it's still in excellent shape. I am wearing it on Easter Sunday with a brand new pair of rainbow colored sling back wedges! Color, open toe heels, and size 16, oh yeah!. Then, I went shopping and was looking at size 16 dresses, and well, they actually looked to big, so I began looking at the 14's. I found a real pretty one, and decided to try it on for fun, because I was only window shopping. Well, what do you know? That dress fit too! And it just zipped right up the back, with room to spare! Who says the band doesn't work? I started at a size 26, and didn't wear dressed because me legs rubbed together, and here I sit talking about getting into a 14 dress!

It is awesome! I'm glad also to be an inspiration to people! That is truly an amazing feeling. I fought so hard to get my band, and to experience it actually working and be able to share with other people is just wonderful!!!

Secret Foods That Has Made Your Journey Easier?
transforming jlaroux replied to okiekatt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love the Jimmy Dean turkey sausage crumbles. I add about 1/8th of a cup to my scrambled egg with some cheese. This is my Breakfast most mornings. adds a little more Protein to my egg, and a ton of flavor. Also, I cannot live without my Mio Sweet Tea flavoring. -

I Never Cheat And I Cheated Today :-/
transforming jlaroux replied to Khloè33's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I don't think of it as cheating! I believe its living, I believe that we need to start thinking like skinny people. They eat that stuff, they just moderate it. Just don't do it all the time. I allow myself junk, every now and again. HOWEVER, word to the wize, if its a trigger food, avoid it, cause thats a slippery slope! lol Glad you caught yourself, enjoyed yourself, and now back to the bandwagon! -
Hey, Larry... seems like there are a few more to add to your list! Yay!

transforming jlaroux replied to donnapa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It sounds like you're feeling better, but I also wanted to let you know that split pea Soup (cambells even) has a lot of Protein and is pretty low cal. I ate it alot post op. I eat the greek yogurt post fill now, also, if you're concerned about the thickness, add some milk and blend it together. Only a day and a half and just think of the boost in weight loss!!! -
