Hi , Welcome! If your anything like me you a just scared of the unknown. I'am doing so much better . I get alittle stronger each day. I'am still not 100%, I would say I'am at 65% back to myself and I 'am day 8 post op. I'am still weak but I would have to say due to the lack of calories I'am able to consume. I 'am still clear liquids for another week. I go to see my Doctor (the first visit since the surgery )on August 1st I'm scared too. I believe I will get my first fill that day? What would ease your fear? Do you want to know about the surgery process or the aftercare or is it the life style change ? Feel free to hit me with all your questions? I'm glad to help you. I think it is good to have a healthy fear. This is a serious operation, that needs to be respected. You have to respect your band. It a huge life change, and is hard work. Stay positive and informed and true to your band and follow all your Doc's directions to the "T". I wish you all the best as you begin your new life journey. (((((hugs))))))), Denise -
Can't edit my profile, i put in the wrong doctor name and my state is incorrect. Any suggestions? The edit profile button doesn't seem to work.

Hello, Today was a better day. I to thought I new what to expect, people told me they were shopping after 4 days. I sleep from Wednesday to Saturday. Sunday I felt better and progressed to the couch. Monday I was up and around but very little, I tried to do very little food shopping last night and thought I was going to pass out. But I slept like a baby. Today I emptied the dishwasher and folded laundry and walked the dog around the yard. So all in all not a bad day. One day at a time. Good Luck to you and your Journey as well. -

Hi, Same here I haven't takin my pain meds in 2 days. I'm having terrible back pains, I'm thinking because I'm not a back sleeper and have been for the past week. The gas pain was the worst part. I finally feel alittle stronger today so I'm not so crazed anymore. Good for you on the clearence of food I have another week. I have been drinking Boost 2 Tbl 3x a day and flavored water & sugarfree pops. Everything just goes right threw me. Guessing that is why I'm so week. I went to the store last night. I thought I was gonna pass out. I wake with a unfamiliar taste in my mouth almost like metal or metallic, and my throat is still strange is not painful just not normal. I'm guessing from the scope. Great question the only time I have ever has success with weight loss is threw excerise and i sure haven't moved in a week. But 12 pounds down since last Tuesday aint to shabby, since all I do is drink and sit., and let me tell you its gettin old. I would think our bodies go into starvation mode, they always say dont skip breakfast. So your right it is holding on to all it can??? I guess we shall see. Oh yea by the way I'm north end of Bpt near Trumbull Mall, I tried to write that yesterday but some how got cut off. I dont know why my profile says Ny and I can figure out how to change it. -

I love Zumba but Zumba is known to be extremely hard on joints especially knees, I know at least 6 people who have injured themselves doing Zumba. Becareful with the twists and jumps, and do the best you can. Its all you can do. All the best, Denise
