Trish2U replied to debi717's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think I have a ticker now. I hope it appears. <a href="Weight Loss - Diet Ticker"> <img border="0" src="<A href="http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wBZs4k4/weight.png"></a">http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wBZs4k4/weight.png"></a> -

Trish2U replied to debi717's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi Everyone, I'd like to join your group if I may. I am 64 and I'm waiting for insurance approval to set a "date". I hope I hear soon; I am ready to get in the groove. -
Left Shoulder Pain After Lap Band Surgery
Trish2U replied to vbaum's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hey, what's up with this left shoulder pain? I am soon to be banded and I am concerned. How many others have this pain? -
Would you do it again?

MarieCarmen What does TOM mean? I am waiting for a band date and have not seen that term before? -
Hi All, I have been reading this forum for some time while I have been thinking about banding. Thanks for the sharing you all do. I finish the last part of the process tomorrow and then need to wait for insurance ok. I think I am going to need help in how to post a ticker tape. Any ideas?

Hi I have not a banding date yet but I am closing in on the preop testing etc. I was wondering if anyone who had sleep apnea was able to eliminate using the CPAP maching after losing weight while banded. Please let me hear from you. I need some first hand information. Thanks.

Hi Moni, I was glad to see your age. I never see people near or over my age posting. I am 64 and had been wondering if my age would be against me in recovering and having success in weight loss. I am 5'2" too. I am going through the final stages of preparing for surgery. Keep in touch

Hi I would like to chat with someone who reached goal 2 years ago. :clap2: I would like to know how the band is working at the present time. It's one topic I don't see on the site. Trish

You go girl. Thank you for your ideas and encouragement. WoW I wish I was where you are now, but then again I have the rest of my life to enjoy. I'm not sure yet when I'll be getting banded. Trish

That info was very helpful. I have to remember egg and/or salad.

Thanks, Jacqui. Pasta may just be the answer I am looking for if I can handle it. I can usually get that in any restaurant. I'll try it first at home. Trish

Thank you for your help. We go out to dinner a couple of times a week, and I am afraid that the banding would cause this to be a problem. Maybe things will be okay. Trish

Hi Renee, Thank you for your reply. Any suggestions you can give would be greatly appreciated. How is your after surgery help? I am interested in following how you are doing as I prepare for my banding. Forty pounds is a super loss. You are really on your way. Please keep in touch Trish

Yes, Yes, Yes to Hillary. She's intelligent, hardworking, and is truly interested in making life better for everyone -
I am 64? Is this too old? Does anyone know of anyone on this forum who is 60+. I'd love to hear from them?

Hi Mattie, I am researching getting banded, too. I am 64 and pretty sure I am going to have it done. I am reading everything I can on it. Trish2u

Hi Everyone, I am seriously considering lap band surgery in CT. I am trying to find out as much as I can. Anyone out there have any experience with Middlesex Hospital in CT. I'd love to hear from you:). Trish

Here I am thinking again about lap band and trying to get up enough nerve to go to the meeting at Middlesex Hospital on February 5th. Is it worth the health risk? How will Rod react when I am not having dinner with him and enjoying eating out? That forms a large part of our enjoyment. :target: I really do want to lose lots of weight so I can enjoy walking, sleeping, gardening again. I have become such a couch potato in the last two years. I hate that I don't sleep well at night and stay up and eat.:bathbaby: Well, starting now I am going to learn all I can about this procedure and pay for it myself.

Hi Elena, How great that you are already on your way. I am thinking of Middlesex Hospital because it would be convenient for follow ups. How often have you been there since you started the process. Any comments about Dr. Aranow. He looks so young. Trish:help:
