Son 14 days old, Mom 70lbs over weight!!!

The only reason to be cautious while BF after a fill would be the lack of nutrients to keep up a good milk supply. My OB said that 1800 calories is how much is need to maintain a supply. If your supply is meeting the needs of your baby, I would not-or at least be very cautious- dropping below this caloric intake. I just quit BFing last month so that I could begin losing this weight. many people say that BFing helps them lose weight... this was NOT the case for me! Also, My baby never latched, I pumped milk and fed it to her by way of bottle. Hope that helps!

    How many calories

What about other nutritional values? How many carbs? I have asked my doc this question, and all he says is "just be reasonible" Im the type of person I go better if I have certain values that I should meet... Is there a certain caloric intake that we should "at least" get to...?
  4. Here I am! I lost about 90 lbs before getting pregnant in March of last year. Had to have all my fluid removed at about 20 weeks into the pregnancy because my kidneys were failing causing excessive vommiting... Anyway, I gained 80 lbs! Shame on me! Now I have a beautiful 7 month old daughter and want to continue losing weight... But at the same time, my husband and I want to continue growing our family (we are not getting any younger). I have much more control now-after seeing what happed when i lost my control- but I seem to be at this horrible plateau that I can not get past! I can not get another fill, because I am too tight as it is. I dont understand how I am NOT losing any more at this point! BLAH... Cant wait to get to you all of you!

    Loose skin and baby bumps

I dont know if I have the answers you are looking for, but I can tell you what I experienced. I started off at 300 lbs, lost down to 220 before I got pregnant (I wish I knew about this board then). My Fluid remained in for the first 20 weeks or so until I has some kidney failure. Aweful vomitting... blah... anyway point is I had plenty of fat along with extra skin... I had this "flap" that pretty much started at my belly button and hung...I though that maybe with the pregnancy that part of my body would reshape (seeing as the baby startes of VERY low). Evidently, shifting skin left bellybutton and skin lower that it should have been, cause even at 9 months preggers, that flap of skin was there. On the upside, I didnt get any (more) stretchmarks. Now, After the baby (and gaining 80lbs during the pregnancy) there was more fat and skin. But now I have lost 60 out of the 80 and that "flap" is starting to look like it did berfore the pregnancy. Bad news... My top "roll" is not somehow rollier and no my belly button stays mostly hidden amongst the fat I dont know if that helps at all, or if it was just useless informtation....
