My all-time high in 2008 was 304lbs. Lost 24 pounds on my own to bring me down to  to 280 in spring of 2011.  Surgery in May 2011.  As of July 14 2011 my current weight is 233 -  71 pounds down, 38 more to go!  I have better health and equally as important, some dignity again...  Started in a size 42 pair of jeans and now fit (semi comforably) into a 38.  My goal is a 36.  I believe that is attainable in another 38 pounds.  I NEVER thought I see that again...
My Lap band will hold 10cc's.  Two were added one month after surgery, two were added on Monday July 12.  I need to have 1/2 cc removed this Friday the 15th.  I have too much restriction and it is uncomfortable. 
 The last conversation I had when I saw my Dr. after surgery was simple.  He called my name, I looked over and he pointed  to his head - "it's all up here now,  I have given you a tool, you have to make it work"...  But what a wonderful tool!!!    Those are words of wisdom to anyone looking to or those that have just had this surgery.  It still takes will power, stamina and dedication and you are the only person that can possess those attributes - even if you have failed over and over and over again - like me...
"God will either heal your wounds or make you a wounded healer."  Even through the rough patches, there is a purpose.  There is a plan.  There is a hope.  Just don't give up!
