Has anyone else had this problem? I was banded in July 2011 and had a few fills in the following months after surgery. Two weeks fter my third fill I started feeling really tight, couldnt get food down so I went for an unfill amd felt better. Two weeks later I was too tight again and got another unfill. I got a fill on Jan 10 and again I'm feeling tight. I have 4ccs in a 10 cc band, and I dont know why I am getting tight two weeks after a fill. Any thoughts?

July 2011 Bandsters-weight lost so far
sho replied to CurlyDiva's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Overall I have been satisfied with the lap band and have had few problems. Yesterday I had a bad vomiting episode and today it is hard to keep food down without major slime. I've had three fills and the last one was a few weeks ago. Any thoughts? -

Had first fill on Monday a month after surgery; I now have 4ccs in my 10 cc band. I had liquids/mushies Monday and Tues. and I was pretty hungry. Now I am back to solids and doing ok. Can anyone explain what restriction feels like? -

sho replied to Allison0927's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Got my first fill today...quick and painless. My band now has 4ccs. Now I'm back to liquids for a few days. Will keep you posted and would love to hear about other first-time fill experiences. -
Almost three weeks post-op--how do you feel?
sho posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on July 7. The first few weeks were painful and uncomfortable but 18 days out I am starting to feel like me again. For the first two weeks I stuck to the liquids and mushies diet and lost 17 lbs including the weeklong low-carb diet. I havent lost any weight since then. I have been trying more types of food and no major issues as long as I chew, chew, chew. My first fill is Aug 8, hoping it will bring some restriction. Just checking in to see how others are doing at this stage. -

First few weeks are hard and you may be hungry and uncomfortable but it will get better. A month post-op and I feel pretty good and can eat most anything as long as I chew and take small bites. We'll see how I feel after my first fill on Monday! -
I got banded on July 7 and I'm going for my first fill on Monday which makes me a bit nervous. The first few weeks post-op were kind of torturous with the liquids and mushies, stomach and back aches. At this point I feel much better and can eat most anything as long as I chew and take small bites--salad with grilled chicken, eggs, mac n cheese, fudgsicles, cheese, etc. I have had a few painful stuck episodes but I'm learning.

Almost three weeks post-op--how do you feel?
sho replied to sho's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In the past week I have been experimenting with all types of food, even eating out, and for the most part I am doing ok. I eat slowly, take small bites and chew a lot. My only problem is that sometimes I overeat falling back onj old habits which leads to a bad tummy ache. After the liquids phase wight loss has plateaued but so far it is a learning experience. -
Banded Wednesday-And STARVING ova here!..lol..
sho replied to 14isabella's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The first two weeks after surgery on July 7 I was painfully hungry--logical when all you have is protein shakes and broth. About 10 days in I had creamy tomato soup and mashed potatoes which were heavenly. Almost three weeks out I am feeling better and eating more substantial food. I remember how hungry I was and it will get better! -

I was banded July 7 and have lost 17 lbs since I started the pre-op diet on July 2. I've plateaued in the past week but I am eating more after the two-week liquids mushy stage. First fill is Aug 8 -
I was banded on 7-7 and I am right there with you. Mashed potatoes, chicken and mac and cheese (all chewed very well) have helped but no idea I'd be so hungry.

when will I feel myself again?
sho replied to wannawearabikini's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got banded om 7/7 and was in constant pain--back pain, sucher pain, feeling hungry. I just started trying more mushy foods and I feel better. Reading these posts makes me feel better to know the discomfort will pass and I will be ok soon and not hungry. -
I was banded on 7/7. Since then I have felt constant pain and/or discomfort. Sometimes it is my back, mostly my stomach. I can't tell if it is hunger pains or the suchers but I never really feel good. Does anyone else feel this? I hope my doctor has some advice during my post-op next week.

I had outpatient surgery on July 7. I have never had surgery before and I live alone so it is a bit challenging. The first few days on liquids were ok (except one bad night of dry heaving) but now I feel what seem to be hunger pains. Could it be?
-
Ate some mashed potatoes and well chewed chicken today one week post- surgery. I dont feel hungry anymore but not sure if I ate too much.

Are you feeling any better? I have been feeling the same way with extreme, almost unbearable, hunger pains and back pain. I am also extremely tired even a week after surgery. I hope it gets better.
