    Eating grapes??

I'm 5 weeks out and able to start eating some fruit. I just got some Concord grapes and need to know if anyone knows if you're allowed to eat seeded grapes with the skin? Thanks!

    Eating grapes??

OK, thanks everyone. I see my doc in a couple of weeks, so I'll check with him then. Kelly, that's what I've done with a few grapes, spit the skins out. Mmm...tasted delish! You really should ask your nut, everyone's plan is different. I was not allowed to have skinned fuit until 3 months, but I ate grapes and spit the skins in the trash! LOL Kelly
  3. So, it's been 1 week now since surgery and I'm feeling great! In fact, today is my first day back to work and so far, so good. I've lost 21 lbs since my weigh-in last Monday, so I'm feeling pretty great about that too! I have discovered though that now I seem to be lactose-intolerant. The protein drinks I've tried, all gave me a VERY upset stomach and I couldn't keep them down. I switched to the Isopure and that seems to be doing the trick. Anyone else have a similar situation with the protein?? So glad I did it!!
  4. So, tomorrow is the BIG DAY! I'm on my last day of the pre-op liquids and so glad for that. I'm so ready for this but nervous as to what I'm going to be feeling like after surgery and the days to come. I've read almost every post on here both successes and ones that were not so much. I so want to be on the winning side and look forward to updating you all with great posts! Wish me luck!!

    Surgery in two days!

Hi Tracy, My surgery is in 6 days & I can definitely understand where you're coming from. It's an exciting yet somewhat nervewracking feeling, at least that's what I'm feeling. I think you're going to be so glad you did this not only for yourself but your daughters as well. My thoughts are with you!! Good luck and I'm sure it will be great! Lori
  9. I'm a newbie here and thought I'd share my excitement. I just got my surgery date, 7/25/11 and since then, everything seems as if it's going in fast-motion. I've started my pre-op diet yesterday and so far, so good. I'm reading all the posts I can on here and trying to get a feel as to everyone's experience so far. My daughter is getting married in December, so I'm already envisioning a great looking mother-of-the-bride's dress. Did anyone have any unrealistic expectations prior to surgery?
  10. Thank you all for your input and I'll keep you posted as to the progress along the way. I'm so excited to finally get my life back!
