All I was asked for was a blood test, urinalysis, upper G.I and, EKG. As for a pre-op diet, I only had to be on liquids for a few days before surgery. My insurance approved it within a week. I was revising from band to sleeve though, so perhaps it was different for me.

I'm all set for the 8th. Good luck, everyone! -
did you "fall off the bandwagon" this holiday season?
Silmeria replied to sylviau's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was lucky that I'd just been banded the previous holiday season. This season, however, ooh boy. I'm really rather disappointed with how easily I excused my poor choices with "it's the holidaaaays~!" The weight gain on the scale still makes me cringe, though thankfully I'm losing again. I'm certainly glad to be back on track though. -
My Fitness Pal And Daily Calorie Allowance
Silmeria replied to ilikebunnies's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My daily intake is 800-900 calories. MFP always scolds me for not eating enough and putting my body into starvation mode but I can't fathom eating any more than I already am. -
I've been told that taking Biotin should help - unfortunately, it actually seemed to make me gain weight the days that I used it, eeek. I suppose I'll probably give it another go just to make sure it wasn't just a normal day-to-day weight fluctuation.

I have an 8 day cruise coming up pretty soon - I'm almost considering just taking my scale with me to keep myself in line, lol.

Switching To Sleeve
Silmeria replied to PeaceLove&Tash's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor and his nurse practitioner both recommended the band over the sleeve for me because I was 21 - it's interesting how surgeons have such differing opinions on these sorts of things. I wish you all the best on your journey!
