LoserMama, we share the same surgrey date, 12/21/11, I too feel as though I can eat a lot more that I am suppose to, I do not have any pain either. I just thought that my "new plate size would be 1/4 to 1/2 cup!" I would love to know of your progress, take cre. -

Hello all, I'm 2 weeks post op, my check up went well I'm done 17 pounds! I'm officially able to start "soft foods" all in all I've had an amazing recovery, wishing everyone the best!!

Tiday marks one week since my vsg, my doctor visit went well, I'm done 13 pounds! My recovery has been wonderful, I was prepared for the worst but have had nothing but good things. I'm very excited for the up comings chages, take care all! -

Thank you all, I've had a very easy recovery, I even asked my doctor if this was " the calm before the storm?" and I was told no and that I was just one of the people who have done exceptionally well, praise God! -

Hello everyone, well I am 1 day post op, still at Baylor hospital, I will be going home today. I will have to say that it is not that bad as far as pain, I have had NO nausea, both water and broth are going down nicely. Wishing everyone in post op stage a speedy recovery!

I have to be at the hospital at 8:30 surgery to be around 11:00. I have waited 7 months for this and I cannot pinpoint just how I'm feeling at this moment. I can say however that I want to be on the "losers bench!" I'm hoping for an easy surgery and a fast recovery, oh and as pain free as possible!

To shoppingbeemom, after reading your post, I would like for you to know that it helped me to calm down, or at least for now. The one thing that did it for me was the following statement "I asked myself how did I want to live the rest of my life". This is so true, thank you, I will try to remind myself of this on surgery day, 12/21/11. -

Enixon2010, I feel the same exact way, I want to be excited my head will not think about anything other than fear!! My date is 12/21/11, I started my liquid diet today, not fun. I know that the both of us will come out wonderfully, we just need to turn this fear over to God, he will take care of it and us! God be with you, and a fast recovery! -
Oh my goddness, my nerves are out of control. 1 week from today I will have my surgery!!! How do you stay calm, any advise??
