The dr told me since I was hungry that was a sign of my stomach healing..the swelling has went down. That's why I can move onto the mushee stage and mac & cheese is on the list. Anything u can smush w/ a fork!

Hi my name is Brandi, I'm 37 years young and have been married to my wonderful husband Gary for almost 15 year, on September 21! We have 3 wonderful kids..our oldest boy, Keegan-12, our daughter, Camdyn-10, and our youngest boy, Hayden-7, the main reason I'm taking this journey! I want to be around for them for a very long time! My starting weight was 191--I'm only 4ft 11in, not a lot of room to keep the fat hidden..ha ha!! I was banded on the 9th and I went to the dr today and was down 8lbs!!!! My daughter was so excited for me. Since I was doing so good my dr let me move onto pureed/mushie food today! So tonight I got to eat some supper w/ the family, mac & cheese and pear. I had a cup of mac & cheese and coupld of pear slices and I was stuffed! I'm glad to be on this wonderful, life changing journey with all of you!!! Brandi

I report to the surgical suite at 7:15am(central time). I have so many emotions...excited, scared, nervous, ready for new me!! This is the beginning of a new me for my family...my husband and my 3 wonderful children. My two oldest know what's going on..they are 12 and 10. My daughter Camdyn told me tonight she is ready for her new skinny mom who will be able to run 5k with her! How sweet she is...she even prayed over me. Well wish me luck! Brandi

I'm home from surgery!!!!! They wheeled me back around 8:15 and we were walking out the door by 10:30! I'm very sore and luckily the gas pain has not been too bad(knock on wood). Thank the LORD for the pain medicine.....nobody should try to be a hero....TAKE THE PAIN MEDICINE!!!! Well I'm off to rest....talk to you guys later....

Hi---I'm getting banded on Aug 9...Ive been trying different Protein shakes and not having a lot of luck of finding one I LOVE...I just found some I can tolerate. So I keep hearing about Muscle Milk. I bought some last night...my question is did anybody drink it straight or did you blend/mix with something? Any other shakes receipes you have would be great!
