Hey everyone, I'm having my lap band in a week and had a quick question. The day before I know you have to clean your insides and was told to drink miralax and gatorade. Any advice on that? Is there a lot of discomfort? What other choice of liquids are better to drink it with?

Well, my surgery is next week and my surgeon called and said it might be canceled because I have a high white blood count of 17,000. They say it's an infection, but I feel fine, and now I'm starting to feel really depressed about it, I went from excited to sad in 1 second. I went to the doctor but they said nothing is wrong and I explained to the doctor, but no one seems to understand why. I guess I'm over-stressing it more but just hearing that really set me back. =\

Hey everyone! I was suppose to have surgery July 13, which would be tomorrow but my doctor convinced me to do the new robotics surgery on July 19, and I was wondering if anyone ever had it before?

Lol, I've been cheating and my surgery is in a week, but this week I promised to put it all in and drink my liquids and hopefully lose that 10 pds the doctor wanted me too!!!

I spoke to my Dr and they said in a week you'll be fine, but they'd recommend 2 weeks. I'm sure you'll be fine as long as you take it easy after the surgery. Good luck!!

Oh. I was told to stop drinking liquids by 11pm. But I'd have to do a bowel cleanse, which sucks, I haven't met anyone either who has done it and I've google to find out, but no luck. I guess because of the doctor. Thank you for your help, I do appreciate it.

I'm scheduled for July 19 and pretty excited and nervous of changing my entire life!!!
