I am pretty lucky for being 100 plus pounds overweight I have no side effects now. The only complaint I have is sometimes I am tired and my joints hurt. My doctor has been telling me to do lap band for the last 2 years sadly my insurance does not cover the cost so I am paying for this on my own. I have done WW several times I would lose about 40 pounds then gain it back. I have been overweight all of my adult life but I gained 75 pounds 10 years ago after my gall bladder was removed.
I am excited and ready to have my surgery. I think this tool is going to make me stay committed to a healthy lifestyle and regain my self-confidence. I am a little nervous I will fail the band or I am making a decision which will impact me worse years later.
I have a supportive husband and mother. I have no kids but my pugs are my babies.
