Hey everyone, well my lap band baby is 8 months and I gained about 35 lbs during pregnancy. I had a lil trouble after the baby with tightness but it got better after going on liquids for a couple of days. Now I feel like I've totally lost control and have gained an additional 15 lbs since giving birth. This is my third so fitting in workouts are basically impossible and squeezing them in at night is sometimes discouraging since I'm so off track. I can eat large portions and when I eat small portions I am hungry an hour later, if I eat the wrong things like bread I still pb. I am still nursing so I don't know if I should get a fill. Any advice on getting back on track, I feel like a total failure!

Thanks ladies, I didn't touch my band at all while I was pregnant it stayed the same since I didn't have any problems during pregnancy. However I recently moved to Oklahoma from California I will be going out to Cali in November so maybe I can schedule a visit w/ my LB dr and talk about it that will be my one year mark with nursing so maybe I can get a fill then. I've been getting impatient and hate seeing my old self creep back. My baby only nurses and is eating some solids now but would it be a bad idea to do the two day liquid two day soft food thing to "reactivate" the band? And does anyone know if that works?

I think this is more of a mental struggle with getting used to eating less. Forget about feeling full but focus on satisfied. You will feel better once you get a fill.

Actually I meant an unfill. I hv been doing liquids very well today, so I think my pouch was just irritated.

I had my baby November 17 and right after delivery I seemed to be getting stuck at each and every meal! I have been able to eat here and there, but am really getting frustrated. I am going on liquids today and see how it goes but if it persists I am getting adjusted monday. Anyone had any experience like this after delivery ? What about papaya enzymes do those work? I really would like to not spend the 309 $ for the fill

Want To Start Trying For A Baby, But Scared! :(
Pinklilli replied to cthomas3280's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I think u should start ttc! Don't wait longer if u want to start ur lil family now. As far as the weight loss, I don't think u should wait either because who knows how much u will gain or loose during pregnancy. I started at 185 and ended my pregnancy at 225(no problems eating!!), I haven't weighed myself since because its only been a week, I will on Monday at my drs app though. I did not get an adjustment during pregnancy and I currently have around 6cc in my 10cc band. I am having a lil trouble eating since delivery but nothing that won't get fixed with a lil adjustment. -
Sorry missed the end quote for ur post I'm new to this.

Breast implants and losing weight
Pinklilli replied to Beachy_Babs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I consulted my surgeon for an augmentation n asked him the same Q n this was his answer. "if u gained some weight n it was noticeable in the breast then you will loose weight around the breast which can cause sagging". So if ur breast increased in size most likely some but you won't know to what extent until u loose the weight.
