Great job @@katesuccess !! Working with a trainer sounds like it's working for you. Way to make it happen! I'd love to have the recipe for your mug cakes. Like you, I struggle with the justifying. If I had a sweet alternative, I might stop that roller coaster by working in a regular treat that fits in my macros (50 or less carbs daily here per my dietician). That might be a big help and I SO appreciate you sharing recipes, thoughts, and suggestions.

Oh @@bacon - I am so glad to hear from you. Sorry to hear about the job and your papaw. Glad you have a permanent job and hope things go well out on the road. Please keep us posted, okay? I must admit that I did not have a stellar weekend food-wise. I planned it all out and did very well, including company for dinner on Saturday, until last night. I won't mention what I baked and ate so that I don't trigger one of you, but it was premeditated (had to go to the store for an ingredient) and certainly not in my plan. It was a sweet, which seems to be my issue. What makes me do that?? I'm going to have to really give that some thought. Plans are made for today and I'm going to enter it now into Myfitnesspal. I'll drink lots of Water and take my walk this evening. I'm really mad at myself, so having to shake that off today. It's just not okay and I've got to get to the root of it. So.....back to it today with some heavy thinking to do. Any of you have some wisdom to share with me on the subject? How's everyone??

Hi everyone!! Thundersnow overnight and a light dusting here in East Tennessee this morning. Noooo!! Hurry up spring!!! Glad to hear @@punkinvine is on the mend. @@RockinRobin59, good job on the workouts. Moving forward is right! @@2babutterfly let us hear from you. Hope all is well. I'm moving right along. I've been meeting my three goals: less than 50g of carbs daily, exercise 4 times per week, and logging my eating. The dietician had me to commit to them for 30 days, so I'm on my way. I hope you each have a beautiful weekend and take care of you.

@@2babutterfly - as you know, we just finished house shopping about six months ago. Since then, it's been renovation shopping. @@RockinRobin59 I eat out of a one cup glass bowl, pretty much every meal, and use an appetizer fork. I made sure it's a pretty little bowl and a nice fork. I bought enough to last a week. Sounds silly, but keeps me on track without actually having to weigh and measure everything. I also track what I eat in Myfitnesspal to keep me honest and track Protein, carbs, and calories. My dietician has me at 50g or less of carbs daily. @@2babutterfly so glad to hear from you! Seems it's always the two of us that drag our tails back here. I thought today, if I stay on track, I can easily be in those little fall & winter clothes hanging in my closet. You know, the ones I couldn't wear this past fall/winter, yeah those. It's a great time to just do it!

I'm here and back in the program after two weeks of mess. Like you, eating junk and too much of it. Looking at it objectively, it was a binge, plain and simple. Either way, I've talked to the dietician, committed to 30 clean days, and started today. I would LOVE the additional accountability of daily posts here. Can we commit to 30 days of regular, honest, intentional posts?

That recipe sounds like a winner!! Thanks for sharing!! Hi, everyone!! How'd we do over the weekend? Did we fuel our body rather than feed our cravings in our head? As the accountability component, I can stay I did! I had a victory Friday night in having a few tiny, measured, and documented bites of a sweet treat rather than eat a whole one. (I won't mention the specifics so that I don't trigger anyone withy food porn.) I had another win after church. I suggested we go out for lunch and I ordered a salad with beef, skipped the dressings, and kept carbs and portions small. It's all documented in my fitness pal too. It's about choices and I'm choosing to fuel my body. It's working too, my carb cravings have all but disappeared. Hallelujah!! Okay, enough about me. Today I shall eat OP and get in at least 30 minutes of exercise. How about you? Let's hold each other to it!

You're darn right about spending too much time with our heads down. Let's rock this thing!!!! That 5 day pouch test has been a Godsend for me! I did it last week and feel so much more in control and aware of my lap band. It's a nice feeling. Let's have a strong weekend, ladies. Hi, Smokey!! Glad you joined us. 2babutterfly - how is it going?? I finished the five day pouch test. I'd highly recommend it to jump start when needed. (Google it if anyone is interested!) I'm keeping carbs below 50g per day, calories are hanging in the 800s, Protein in the 80-90s. I feel SO much better, physically and emotionally. Adding back 30 minutes of exercise each day has a lot to do with it too. Hope everyone is doing well. Guess we are gonna have to do a ROLL CALL!!!

@@2babutterfly - So GOOD to hear from you! I was beginning to think I was out here on my own! I sure wish others would chime in, even off track, and let us hear from them. Off track isn't a failure until you stop trying to start over. Come on, friends!!! I've taken every step I know to do in order to get myself back in the saddle: 1. I just completed the "Five Day Pouch Test" to give me a boost and let me relearn to listen to my band and it's signals. 2. I have asked my husband and daughter to exercise with me for at least 30 minutes an evening for at least four evenings a week. It's great for the family and good for our bodies. We completed our goal last week. 3. In addition to that, I have literally hired an accountability partner. My insurance provides a one-on-one phone counseling nurse. I've begun a monthly call with a nurse/counselor/dietician to keep me on track. She calls me monthly, on a set date and time, to see if I've kept my two goals for the month, address any dietary issues, and provide counseling for my perfectionist issues. I hope between all of this, coupled with the fact that I'm down to jeans and yoga pants that fit, I will lose some weight and get my head back in the game. The clothes thing is NO JOKE and I'm not buying bigger, so it's a do-or-die situation here. I care about you guys. I've also realized it takes a lot of support and accountability. Let's do that for each other. Who's with me??
