I'll check back later.

@@JustWatchMe - pot roast makes me want to die! Kudos for chewing slow and making it work!

Hey, everybody!! @@enjoythetime - looks like a super plan! I love how you posted calories & Protein. I think I'll do the same. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right?!? ???? Working my plan today! 40 minutes of exercise this morning and will walk with my husband this evening. I'm halfway through my Water for the day. Victory - after eating out and feeling like junk earlier this week, the memory is still fresh. I was invited to Breakfast by my real estate agent and turned it down to come home and eat my yogurt & granola. Now my belly is happy and I don't have any guilt. It's that control thing we talked about earlier. Speaking of control, and yes I have issues, I am thinking about a local support group. I have found a local food Addicts group that meets weekly. I know other banders that do OA, but there isn't a local meeting. FA sounds similar and I meet the criteria according to their website. There's also a local lap band support group that meets monthly, but I haven't found them all that beneficial in the past. I'm thinking the FA might help me get to the root of it. Opinions?? I'm interested in what you guys think. I'll check in later...

Exercise complete - 3 miles tonight with my husband and LS. That's 5 total today. food eaten was according to plan & 100 oz of Water for a flush. Jumping in on the hunger issue...it's a rev in metabolism due to increased Protein, I bet. I went thru the same issue about a year ago. My NP had me go to 4 one cup "meals" a day, all protein, and it helped. She wanted me to never be starving hungry, so I ate my four meals and a low-carb snack (nuts, yogurt, etc) if I needed it. After a while, I went back to three meals. If memory serves me, that happened after a tiny fill. Okay, everyone, we're moving & grooving today! What's tomorrow's plan? Mine: B- yogurt w/ granola L- Protein shake, 16 oz D- sautéed shrimp 92 oz water 1 hour+ of exercise

BTW... @@enjoythetime - reading your food logs made me want to give Greek yogurt another try. I've found a low cal/low carb one that I'm really enjoying. I add 2 tbl of granola (again copying you & your trail mix) and it's awesome. My doc will be pleased that I'm actually having breakfast now. Thank you for posting, sharing what you eat. It's helped me and others, I'm sure. That's what it's all about!!

@@punkinvine - good to hear from you. Sounds like you're busy. And cold! @@enjoythetime - a HUGE victory in my world!!!! Way to take control and make healthy choices! @@JustWatchMe - loving your posts as you work the plan without logging. You're an inspiration! @@bacon - nice loss this week. Your hard work with planning food & exercise is paying off!! Meals are planned, I'll do 96 oz of Water to help flush yesterday's food choices, and I've already done a 40 minute cardio video. I'll do a 3 mile walk with Leslie Sansone and my family this evening. Let's make it work today! I appreciate each of you sharing along the way. I enjoy, and learn from, your daily check-ins. Thank you for taking this journey with me and holding me accountable.

That sounds great! Thanks for sharing! Well, our snowday and change in all routine threw me for a loop today. Both of my peas were home and we ended up at a corner restaurant for lunch. While I counted it all, I am over my usual caloric intake by about 300 and feel like crap tonight. The good, bad, & the ugly will be shared here, right? No whining, no excuses, just a plan! Here it is: Extra Water tonight & tomorrow to flush sodium and the junk. I walked 3 miles with Leslie tonight, but it was half-hearted since I'm lugging junk in my belly. I commit to 2 miles tomorrow morning, 3 miles tomorrow evening, and eating according to my plan tomorrow. Posting here for accountability. As I've shared, I normally don't post or log the "bad" stuff, but am trying a new approach. Onward and downward.... How are y'all?
-
Me too!! I'd love that recipe!!
-
Well, no barium swallow test. We had an unexpected 4-5" of snow last night. I drove for an hour watching cars slip, slide, & crash. I have zip experience with this stuff having moved from south Georgia. I called the facility and rescheduled for next week and came home. It wasn't worth it! Sounds like you guys are up and at 'em this morning! I've got meals planned and working on my second tumbler of Water now. My husband and I will walk with Leslie tonight. We might even go out and walk in the snow for a bit. Our daughter loves that! I'll check in later. Make it a good one!

@@JustWatchMe - you're right, we got this!! Hope your day was swell! @@bacon - you're familiar with SBC? Small world. We were active there until our recent move. Miss that place like crazy. food was spot-on, Water all consumed, 5 miles with Leslie Sansone completed. Nothing else by mouth, having my barium swallow test at 10am. Please pray that all is well with my band. Have a great evening, everyone!!

@@bacon - Jon Acuff is great! He spoke at our home church in SWGA, Sherwood, a time or two. I could listen to him all day!
-
Very timely quote from a favorite author, Jon Acuff, today: "Perfection is a poison, not a potion. It always promises things it cannot deliver."
-
Awesome!! Share your thoughts along the way as I'm totally interested in how this works for you. I think the food/exercise log is part of my OCD "good" & "bad" thinking I posted about a minute ago. Please share how this goes, if you don't mind!!

@@2babutterfly - that's what I'm talking about!!!!! Bad weekend, but you are moving on with a plan for today. Way to turn it around!! @@bacon - not a total "fail" in my book. So your decisions weren't all good, but you did exercise, you chose not to binge, you posted here for accountability. Those are victories, friend, even on a not-swell day. I was just talking to my husband about my mindset last night. I define my days as "good" and "bad". It's only a good day if I did everything to the T. If it's a bad day, I usually let myself go completely off the chain. I also don't post here. That's a BIGGIE. Why????????? If I could have one ultimate goal (as mentioned earlier by @enjoythetime), I will stop this kind of thinking. I'm working on it by planning, and documenting, treats and exercising regardless of food choices. It's a start! I beg of you, if you don't see me on here, even for a day, CALL ME OUT. Please. We need to post here (the good, bad, & the ugly) in order to hold each other accountable and learn to deal. I learned from @@bacon sharing and hope we can keep up our momentum. This thread is helping me so much, just learning to live life after WLS and deal with my issues with food. Thank you guys for that!! Meals are planned & in my fitness pal, Water will be consumed, and exercise is about to happen. Have a dandy day! I'll check in later. @@HealthyNewMe & @@nailpro00, hope all is well. I'd love to hear from you.

Okay, let's ponder this. What was a fail? Binge, food choices? What caused it? Did you just want it or was it a planning thing? Seriously, let's "talk" through this. I'm trying to hold you accountable and help you with healthy decisions. I hope you would do the same for me. Talk to me...

@@bacon - All is well! Had approx 6" of snow that turned to ice due to temps down to zero & below. My daughter didn't have school for the entire week, but enjoyed her first snow and all that goes along with it. We moved to NE TN back in May from SW GA, so this whole winter thing is all new to us! Meals are planned - chicken tortilla soup in the crockpot since it's cold & rainy here. Good day for it and we can eat on it all day. Win-win! We rushed off to church and I didn't get my shake in, so I'll have that first. I've already had about half of my Water. All is well here and hope it is for you guys too! Have a dandy day!

@@bacon - have you seen the couch to 5k program? I have friends that swear by it. @@punkinvine - glad to see you back. I missed your posts! Sorry about your mom. I know how that is. My grandparents are in their 90s, my mom in her 70s, and it's not easy. I got my exercise in yesterday. I did a 30 minute video yesterday morning and then a 45 minute butt-kicker in the evening. I'm sure I'm gonna be sore. Well, friends, I have food planned for the day. I should come in just under 1000 calories. Today is an off day for exercise. I've already gotten a good jump on my Water. Yesterday was a victory. I planned a treat for dinner (won't post so that I don't trigger anyone with food porn), I logged and counted it, so no guilt. There was a piece left that my husband and daughter didn't want and I threw it in the disposal so that I wouldn't be tempted later. That's huge for me! In the past, I would have waited until I was by myself and eaten it quickly and secretly. I will take the small victories with the big ones!! What are your plans for today? If anyone is wiling to share, I'd love to discuss Protein shakes. While my NP was a big fan, my new surgeon is not. He doesn't want me having the extra calories and sugar. My brand is low carbs, low sugar, no aspertame, and packs a nice punch of protein for the calories. My former NP totally approved. Anyway...I'd love to hear what you use, when you use it, and the stats on the shakes. I'll share too if anyone wants to know what I use to boost protein. Have a dandy day!!!
-
Sounds like we're all rocking this thing today!! @@bacon - no binge is HUGE!!! The loss is your reward. Keep it up! @@enjoythetime - not sure about too much Protein. My doc doesn't care if I eat nothing but protein, so I'm not sure there is a ceiling because we banders can only eat so much anyway. Meals planned, half of my exercise this morning and the other half this evening with the family, Water will be at 96 oz today. I'm getting it done here too!!! Check back in with you guys later... Have a dandy day!

@@JustWatchMe - did you win against the head hunger? I battle it daily. Hope you finished strong today!

Exercise, check! We got a five mile walking video done. Whew! Not sure about food. We met my husband for lunch. I took it easy and left food on my plate. Everything is documented in my fitness pal. Since I ate out, I increased Water to 96 oz. to compensate for added sodium. I'll probably do the same tomorrow. I love the splurge of eating out, but hate the not knowing (calories, ingredients, etc) part of it. Sounds like everybody is making it happen today! @@punkinvine - things going well? Missing your posts!

@@enjoythetime - could it be muscle gain due to the shred workouts? I know your frustration, but we also know it will come off. Hang tough! @@bacon - I'm thinking about my WI's too. Can't decide if I want to do weekly at home or wait for monthly doc visits. After all my years, I still like a monthly doc visit. There's just something about going there, having the house with my chart, etc. I believe whatever works for YOU is best! Another snow day here. I think we're going to venture out to meet my husband for lunch. We don't eat out often, so this will be a nice treat. It's always hard for me to guesstimate my calories, Protein, etc, but also know an occasional meal out seems to boost my metabolism too. I've already done a 2 mile walking video and will get in a 3 mile tonight. Have a dandy day!
-
AMEN!! ???? All is well. Another snow day here, but I kept my daughter busy this morning cleaning house. Can you just imagine her enthusiasm?!? Everybody should have a tween girl! I worked at a fast pace and counted it as my exercise. My fitness pal says I burned 300 calories, so I'll take it. I've had 643 calories and all my Water for today. Hope you guys are rocking your plans! Nailpro, good to see you back here! Enjoythetime, pondering my ultimate goal. Probably a healthy relationship with food and an active lifestyle would top my list.

@@JustWatchMe - hope that fill helps with the hunger and I'm super glad your port is safe & secure. Is it in you abdomen? I ask because my surgeon put mine in my chest. @@bacon - not hard core by a long shot, I just do what Leslie Sansone tells me to do. ???? Sounds like you pounded some walking today too! @@enjoythetime - glad you had a successful day! That accountability goes both ways, so give me a kick anytime it's necessary. @@2babutterfly - hope that small unfill does the trick! Okay, just stopped by to check on everybody. Yes, I go to bed around 10, so I stop drinking by 8 and I don't eat after 6:30. I'm open to any and all suggestions of you guys have any! @@bacon - I'm in my sweet spot, but won't hesitate to get a fill if I need one. @@enjoythetime - you WILL let us know when you accomplish those, right? ????
