Protein Drink Recipes
splashdancer replied to splashdancer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks, Right after I posted that I found it! thanks a million! -
Oh, I just looked at your profile which says you are a PT- no wonder! I am sorry you will have to deal with this! I am a therapist in private practice so I don't have to move at all! Just need to stay alert and drink throughout sessions. Good luck and stay in touch!

Hi, I am also five days post-op. I am sorry to hear your Dr's orders! I am going back Thurs- just one full week. But I am self-employed so I just have to. The only issue will be drinking all day but I can do that. I am a little weak, so we'll see. I've yet to fall asleep during the day though, which I am sure is a good sign. I've struggled with the gas pain too, but like you, it is getting better each day. I like the baby sippy cup idea. I am drinking from what I would think of as an adult sippy cup! Like the spoon idea, also. I will definitely do that. What kind of job do you have? I am thinking it must be somewhat physical for your Dr to order three weeks off.

Hi everyone, I have spent all morning looking for that list of recipes that someone who is a regular here posted. It was a very long list and it was great. I thought I had saved it but didn't. I am only 5 days post op but need suggestions as I love variety. I think maybe it was "tiffykins" or someone who I've seen on here a lot. I really appreciate your help in locating them!

Tracking Food, Water, Vitamins, Supps and Meds
splashdancer replied to splashdancer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey, thanks, I am looking at it online right now. It says the download is $29.95- does that mean that is the only fee I will pay? So, it's not like you are going to a website that just saves the info? boy what a learning curve! -

Tracking Food, Water, Vitamins, Supps and Meds
splashdancer replied to splashdancer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks. I do have a couple of things like that. Since I posted, I've calmed down a bit. I do have all my meds divided into the three times a day I take them with a big list above them in my kitchen. I am still looking at Livestrong, Sparkpeople, Myfooddiary.com, etc to try and decide which one of those I might use to track what I am eating. So far, being at home after surgery has made that easy. It's when I go back to work that I am worried about. Actually, I spent hours setting Outlook up on my computer with task reminders, etc so that helps with meds too. Thanks again. If I can ever figure out how to set up a profile, and add a weight loss ticker, I will! -
Tracking Food, Water, Vitamins, Supps and Meds
splashdancer posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I am newly sleeved, 4th day post op and all is going pretty well! I am now taking more meds than I did before as you add in the Multivitamin, calcium citrate, stool softener, Actigall/Ursidiol, pain med, magic mouthwash, Maalox... I never took any of these before surgery so added to my already 4 or 5 daily meds it is a lot to keep up with. I would like some kind of easy way, using my laptop to track EVERYTHING daily. I have looked at SparkPeople, Livestrong, and my daily food diary sites. I don't see where on any of these nutrition/activity tracker sites where you can add medications, and check them off as you take them. Am I missing something? It seems dumb these sites wouldnt' also add med trackers. Any advice on this and or the easiest most versital online tool to track everything! Thanks in advance! -
Hey fellow sleevers! I am 2 days post op and doing pretty well. I have not figured out how to fill in my profile.. but I will! You have all been a big help to me just in making the decision to have the surgery especially, since there seems to be nothing but sucess stories here! Very inspiring!

Hey there, My surgery is tomorrow so I am right there with you! I am more scared than excited but the support and people's experiences on this website has been a large part of what has convinced me this is a good idea and I won't regret it. I support you and trust you will be glad you did too!

Thanks so much. My surgery is in two days in the Atlanta, GA area. I have been so nervous. My husband is so supportive but I have still not been able to bring myself to tell my family, meaning my four older sibs and two parents. My parents really shouldn't know till after the fact anyway due to their health. I haven't told my family (yet) since I can't imagine never telling them. I just I haven't been able to bear the thought of dealing with everyone else's questions, fear, anxiety and ignorance pre-surgery. I wonder how many people feel the same way. Thanks for your reassurance. -
Citracal Calcium Gummies
splashdancer replied to Jimmy James's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
The Citracal gummies are the BEST! They dissolve totally, easily. The nurse who runs my support group suggested these, as the staff had just tasted them. So, I highly recommend them.
